Ranieri is in a league of his own. No one comes close to him.

But seriously, Benitez is brilliant. He got Liverpool to two consecutive CL finals, winning one of them with a shit squad. I think if he managed Chelsea (or had their transfer budgets) he'd have won the double a long time ago.

I can't think of many coaches that are better than him. (other than the Gods: Fergie ,Lippi, capello)
He's a good cup manager, nothing more and he is a terrible man manager, certainly not one of the best in the world.

I'd say he is a GREAT cup manager.
Define what you exactly mean when you say Man Management?
What separates people Like Alex Ferguson, Busby,Clough, Herrera and to a lesser extent Mounrinho from Managers like Benitez, Raneiri, Mancini :)D).

The mental fortitute and charisma to operate at a high level for a sustained period of time, i.e. a league campaign.

All I've ever seen rafa do in press conferences is bitch and moan like he is the victim of a grand conspiracy, the Fachts rant is an example of this. At the moment, his lowest ebb in management, his attempts at optimism are laughable, we can all see he's falling and fast. Kopites have some sort of fanboy boner for the man who has wasted their money and brought a sub-par return. Two trophies in 5 years (community shiled and CWC don't count) is a poor return, I don't give a fuck if one of them is the Champions League, Ranieri could win the champions league with 200M pounds to spend.

Yes, but you are not taking into consideration that Rafa's squad is way worse than squad coached by Mou, Fergie etc... His transfer budgets are also way lower.
Arsene Wenger has won the league once but i can't claim his man management is bad.
I am not disagreeing with you, i think you are right. Liverpool have been seriously lacking consistency over the years.. but i blame it on Management, The squad (no depth at all and a bad starting 11) and Benitez. I don't think that Mourinho can do any better with that budget and that squad.

I did not watch Rafa with Valencia so i don't how he's won the league twice against the galacticos. but yes this season, his optimism attempts are ineffective.
Further, He is to blame for making Liverpool entirely dependent on 2 players (Torres & Gerrard). He should have made a squad that can cope with absences.

Rafa has spent more than Fergie in the past 5 years, that is all i shall say on that matter.

Benitez £228,600,000
Ferguson £169,450000
This is what they both have SPENT on transfers since 2004?
This makes the average spending of Liverpool per year 38.1 mill :O

ManU would then be spending 28.3 million on Average..

Fergie must have one hell of a scouts team

That was his claim. i was checking if you guys agree with him.. you never pointed it out. You guys were on his side no matter what he said so i assumed you agreed. Apparently some people do still have some sense in them.

Tell me then Kyle, is Defoe better than Rooney?
&
Is Rooney a world class player?
Ask the English who would be the first Strikers name on the national team sheet. Most would say Defoe. Rooney is overrated unless your a foreigner who has little knowledge on our national team or a United fan. You don't know hardly any English people, you don't live in England nor watch their games as much as myself so please don't tell me how my opinions should be treated. Defoe fact is the better player. Deal with it.

CSKA with all the possession and chances. They're the team that attacks from minute 1 and yet Wolfsburg scored from their only attack and only shot on/off target.

It should be an interesting second half.

A bit off topic but does anyone know where I can find the UEFA Fair Play League table?

I've just found out that Galway United have a chance of qualifying for the Europa League because of it!
