I'm really surprised they haven't bought a new keeper to be honest. VDS isn't really up to it at that level any more, and Foster and Kuszczak don't strike me as capable of replacing him long term.

Ask the English who would be the first Strikers name on the national team sheet. Most would say Defoe. Rooney is overrated unless your a foreigner who has little knowledge on our national team or a United fan. You don't know hardly any English people, you don't live in England nor watch their games as much as myself so please don't tell me how my opinions should be treated. Defoe fact is the better player. As I said, so far Capello obviously prefers Rooney to everyone else. By the time the world cup starts, unless Capello starts picking Defoe ahead of Rooney I think I'll continue believing a striker is more than just a goal scorer, Rooney is waaaay better than Defoe. Imagine Rooney in Tottenham... wow he'd take their strike force to another level.

Again, Goal Count is not the only Indicator of a Striker's level. Examples like DP, Cassano, Ibra proves this. And i don't think many people would agree with you that Ibra is good because he scores goals. His passing, holding up play, effort, creativity are nothing.
