Arshavin's goal was wonderful even though I haven't seen a worse defending show in such a level for a long while.

Just compare the stadium and the pitch on Arsenal-Celtic with the stadium and the pitch on Fiorentina-Sporting.

Arsenal had the qualification secured and yet the stadium is full, the pitch is fantastic.
Fiorentina's CL qualification depends on this match, yet Artemio Franchi is half empty and the pitch looks like a pasture where horses were grazing just before kick off.

No wonder Italian football is so behind EPL.
Italian stadiums have always been half empty as far as I remember. And I remember not a far away time in which Italian football wasn't so behind EPL.

This is how the 4 pots will look tomorrow for the draw:

POT 1 : Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Milan, Arsenal, Sevilla, Bayern

POT 2: Lyon, Inter, Real Madrid, CSKA Moscow, Porto, AZ Alkmaar, Juventus, Glasgow Rangers

POT 3: Olympiacos, Marseille, Dinamo Kiev, Stuttgart, Fiorentina, Atletico Madrid, Bordeaux, Besiktas

POT 4: Wolfsburg, Standard, Maccabi Haifa, Zurich, Rubin Kazan, Unirea Urziceni, APOEL Nicosia, Debrecen.

Juve will get one team from Pot1, one from Pot 3 and one from Pot 4. We can't get a team from Pot 2, we can't get an Italian team and we can't get 2 teams from the same country.

Make your desired group, ladies and gentlemen. :)
Arsenal
Juventus
Marseille
Debrecen

Bad thingy is it's been drawn from pot 4 to pot 1, so it means quite opposite, we might get Atletico which will then exclude Sevilla.
    Since when?

Until last year it was always drawn from pot 1 to pot 4. I see no reason why would they change it.

I want chelsea from pot 1 (just hate that club Let them toss our salad). From pot 3 i'm hoping that we avoid both Stuttgart and Besiktas. Finally any team except Wolfsburg.

    FC Barcelona (ESP) 121.853
    Liverpool (ENG) 118.899
    Chelsea (ENG) 118.899
    Manchester United (ENG) 118.899
    AC Milan (ITA) 110.582
    Arsenal (ENG) 106.899
    Sevilla (ESP) 100.853
    Bayern München (GER) 98.339
    ------------
    Pot 2:
    Olympique Lyon (FRA) 91.033
    Internazionale (ITA) 87.582
    Real Madrid (ESP) 78.853
    CSKA Moscow (RUS) 71.525
    FC Porto (POR) 68.292
    AZ Alkmaar (NED) 64.826
    Juventus (ITA) 63.582
    Glasgow Rangers (SCO) 56.575

Watching these coeffs, anyone (Alen :D) knows how much they change during one season, for instance if we would go on and win the CL this season, we would be in pot 1 right, cause of being defending champs? But how much would our numbers rise? Cause we are quite low in the Pot 2, heck look the difference between us and Lyon.

    Of course not.

Like i said, points from the last 5 seasons count.

From the previous 4 seasons we have these points ( in seasons 06/07 and 07/08 we only have pts from the Italian team coefficients, because we didn't play euro football and we didn't win pts of our own):

    2005/06 ------ 21.0174 pts
    2006/07 -------2. 3865 pts
    2007/08 -------2. 0500 pts
    2008/09 -------16. 2750 pts

    That's a total of 41. 7 pts

If we win the CL and win as many pts as, lets say, Barca won last year for winning CL, we'll get 28.66 pts for season 2009/10

So it will be like this:
    2005/06 ------ 21.0174 pts
    2006/07 -------2. 3865 pts
    2007/08 -------2. 0500 pts
    2008/09 -------16. 2750 pts
    2009/10 -------28.66 pts

    TOTAL: 70.3 pts

Look where 70.3 pts would have put us this year.
    Still pot 2 i'm afraid :)

Those 2 years will keep hurting us for at least 3 more years.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter. If we're strong enough, it won't matter if we're in pot 1 or pot 2.

For sure, last year we were pot 2 in group stages and owned Real, later that season we were seeded for 1/8 finals, and lost to Chelsea.

Will be interesting if Arsenal and Juve are drawn together. My entire extended family are Juve supporters, so it would be a special game for me.
