Fuck, Ventspils is going to play at Europa League, no Juve matches in Riga this year for me :) Zurich is better than i thought, and Ventspils probably played the worst match possible, three horrible mistakes by our LB at the start of the match and very nervous defence, two missed tap-ins by attackers, goalkeeper, who didn't catch the ball twice in a row and midfielders with very low percentage of succesful passes. The pressure was too much for the team i think (over 7 million euros to play for, it's ~3 year budget for Ventspils if not more), also the strange change of coach didn't help, no sane person hires new coach two weeks before the most important match in his club history.

Some cracking goals in the Pana v Atletico game.

Surprisingly enough, Gilberto Silva struggled to cope with Aguero.

Lyon looking on track. :)
The game was twarted by two early set-pieces: a Pjanic freekick and Lisandro's penalty (seconds after an Anderlecht player was brough down in the other box). 2-0 after 15 minutes... there never was a match.

Lyon proved that there Mercato was impressive. One of the best in Europe, surely. Lisandro Lopez was very impressive, playing on the left side of the 433, Cissokho was superb at going forward (his defense was never tested); Bastos was quite good, his goal was out of this world; Gomis is a fucking cheetah, superfast striker.

Anderlecht has been completely stunned and got frustrated by the early goals. They tried, but some players were just not in the game (Boussoufa was disappointing). Some laxism in defence brought the score to 5-1.

Well... Anderlecht will have a gala match at home, hosting one of the best teams in Europe at the moment. Then, it will be Europa League for the Brussels team.
