A week or so before the draw i had a feeling that we will get Rubin Kazan in our group, so i did a little research of the team and the city.
As it turned out we didn't get them, but at least i learned something
Kazan is actually in Tatarstan and the majority of its citizens are the Muslim Tatars. The town isn't in the north of the country and the weather isn't as cold as it is in Moscow or St. Petersburg, but the late autmns and the winters are still pretty cold. So lets hope Inter plays them in November or December
As for their team, they are pretty good and the best team in Russia in the last two seasons. The Russian NT players Semak, Bystrov and Sharonov, the Turkish NT players Gokdeniz Karadeniz and Hasan Kabze, the South African MacBeth Sibaya, the Ecuadorian Noboa, the Spaniard Cesar Navas, one Polish NT player 3 Georgians, and the star of the team is the Argentinian Alejandro Domínguez, Kazan's #10, who was also one of Zenit's star players during Zenit's UEFA Cup win in 2008.
