Lyon - Real is more interesting now, Lyon have a chance to eliminate Real imo.
I'm sure Lyon are capable to do it, Real have been the Inter of Spain in Europe for quite a long time and they gave Lyon too much of an advantage in the first game. I can see the Fiorentina-Bayern scenario all over again.

More balkan football conspiracies.:D
Ya, they're worse at them than us Arabs who make everything a zionist conspiracy :D

No, I actually want Manchester to beat Milan. I somehow have a soft spot for ManU and Fegie

It was merely my prediction :D
How can anyone have a soft spot for Purple Face?!!

If they eliminate Lyon, Real will win the CL this year.
If Real face one of the English teams or Inter they will be eliminated imo.

No way Real is strong enough to win the whole thing.

They gotta work more and get to know each other a lot better. Next season if they make good moves they might revive the old scary Real. They might sell one striker and change the formation

Ribery - Kaka - Ronaldo

But this season? I highly doubt...they can always choke in Europe like they did against Pool last season.

But I'm sure you Arabs are much more open-minded than us Iranians when it comes to making conspiracy theories :D

I admire him. Plus, purple is my favorite color.
Nice comeback:D

To be honest if i was not an Arsenal fan i probably would have admired him myself. The man is easily the best manager in the planet.

I think that what Real was before this team was created, is influencing your opinion. The tactical Italians and the pace of the English was too much for Real. Now it's a different team, different tactics, different quality, different coach. This Real team can easily play both against the English and the Italians, and beat them.

I won't even count that 2nd half fluke against Milan. Start of the season, bad form, new players, no Ronaldo etc.

These new Real players inherited the 1st knock-out round pressure from the past Real teams. If they get over it by eliminating Lyon, then I don't see where does Inter or the English have an advantage over this Real.

I don't count either Milan games, it was the start of the season the Real team did not gel yet, and i am sure if they played after December-January they'd beat Milan easily.

I do think however that United's tactics and fast tempo would be too much for Real. Real despite having a strong midfield and a deadly attacking force are really soft in defense. I don't know if you watch their games, but if you do, i have to point out that they dominate most of their games and their defense is very rarely exposed, in the rare ocassions when they are exposed, their defense is rather poor, Albiol and Garay are not the type of defenders you want playing when you deploy a high defensive line, and sometimes their lack of pace really shows. I think against a counterattacking team like United, Real will find it a bit too hard.

But we heard the same too about Barcelona last year, especially before the CL final.
Imo this Real has at least a 50-50 chance to go through against any big team. There is simply too much quality that from quality on paper transformed to quality on the pitch.
Unlike the past years, they also have CL experience now, with players who already won the CL or played a CL final recently (Kaka, Ronaldo, Xabi Alonso) so it's another advantage over their past years' teams.

What a load of biased rambling!

    Spot on though.
    :D

Think that's my longest post on here, but I had to get that off my chest.

He is one of the most dangerous and best wingers around, theres no doubt about that at all. He is just frustrating as he can be better than he is right now if he had a little more vision, was better at decision making and was a little less selfish. Talent wise he is one of the best in the world though.

About being predictable, i don't think he is predictable at all. If anything he is really unpredictable, yes of course you always know as a defender he's going to try and dribble you, but he has variation in his dribbling, he could cut inside, he could go dribble to the byline and he's got great close ball control. As a defender, you never know how he's going to dribble you.
    I'm just gonna go with...

Not from me you didn't. Barca was out of this world last season, Uniteds pace and quick tempo meant nothing if they couldn't get hold of the ball, and that is exactly what Barcelona did, they monopilized possession. I never had any doubt that Barca was by far the best team in Europe last season

I'll sleep really well tonight if Milan puts in a miracle performance and eliminate chewing gum prostitute Fergie.
    Hear Hear.
