Wow, what a bunch of morons.
The Old Firm
William J. Murray states that the term derives from the commercial benefits of the two clubs' rivalry, which were viewed with distaste in some quarters in the early days of the game

they played on the bigotry for years as it was profitable for them to do so,that, aided with the soft-headed nature of west coast scots, led to a massive, rabid, bigoted fan base that has suffocated the game in this country for years

Historical stuff coming down to the usual political and religious crap.

Rangers would claim to be British and Celtic are more interested in Ireland than Scotland.
sigh.............

Rangers=arrogant bigoted Unionist Proddie Brits, wish they were in England

Celtic=whining arrogant bigoted Oirish Catholics, wish they were in Ireland...unless they can get into the premiership

:sergio:

I was too young to know any of this stuff back when i lived in Glasgow.

wrong

FSC needs to show the big named teams if they want ratings and establish a viewership fan base because they are broadcasting in the U.S.

This sport will never take off if you don't market it properly and show the heavyweights. honestly no one in America gives a fuck about the rangers or sevilla
Maybe they don't even want Futbol to compete with their national sports in the first place.
