Lyon midfielder Florent Malouda admits he would consider a move to Arsenal or Juventus.

Malouda is contracted to Lyon until 2011 and is concerned about moving on ahead of next summer's European Championship, but is staying open-minded about his future.

He insists he would only leave Lyon for a better club, and has identified Juventus and Arsenal as the two clubs that would attract him the most.

"When I signed a contract extension last summer, it was so I would not be asked about my future during this season," he told France Football.

"The chairman and I have set a meeting for the end of the current season, but I have a long-term contract at Lyon.

"I will leave only if I can find better somewhere else, but there are not so many clubs better than Lyon nowadays.

"Is it really a good idea to leave one year before Euro 2008?

"I am attracted by Italy and the English league.

"Juventus and Arsenal? These are exciting clubs because they have a past and a culture of their own, but there is nothing concrete with those clubs.

"It is possible they are following me, but since I play in the UEFA Champions League I know a lot of clubs are following me.

"Lyon may be stronger next season, in which case I could leave in 2008, after Euro."

Malouda also played down talk of a possible link with Chelsea, explaining that he was unsure which direction the club was heading in.

"Could my friend Didier Drogba attract me to Chelsea? There are a lot of uncertainties there," he said.

"Today can you say Mourinho will still be their coach next term?"

i like malouda, lyon seems to be the wrong place for many talented players IMO. i think he can bring versatility to our central/wing and even drop back if necessary.

Malouda is left winger I think, am I wright?
He IS good, great speed & crossing, good acceleration. If the price isn't too high we should consider it!

i'm not denying the talent that lyon has, but to me it seems that its a bus stop for these players who develop there, get a taste of the CL and then move forward to bigger and better. its not a place to round out ones career.

& I think that hes a great player(Isnt he a left wing?)
i'm pretty sure i've seen him shuffle around for lyon. not sure about the NT though.

I really like him. I think he is pretty good and would be an improvement and an alternative to Nedved.

Sounds a very sensible player.

Doubt we could get him cheap. Just look at how much they held out for in the cases of Essien and Diarra.

yeah but in the case of Madrid and Chelsea, those clubs had 2 factors:

A) they were loaded with cash that they would spend freely
B) they were desperate to get Diarra and Essien.

malouda made zambrotta look like an amature in the world cup final, hes a top notch player not many around as good as him, and hes still young if he wants to come here then that would be a brilliant signing

no not malouda it would kill me to see this diving piece of trash in a juve jersey
anybody remember 5 minutes into the world cup final????? There is no way that was a penalty and no way should that jerk ever play at juve, plus he seems like a mercenary just like veira thuram and ibra he would probly ditch juve any chance he got.

Meh, Ribery, Sneijder, Quaresma, would be much better choices imo.
Just two out of Ribery, Quaresma and Sneijder would be sufficient to add all the required creativity to our midfield. I have the same hope as you actually.

Regarding Malouda, I think he performed well in the World Cup, but I haven't seen him a lot with Lyon this term to judge his consistency. In fact, I do prefer Quaresma and Ribery to him, but if we have to buy him, we shouldn't agree to the high prices which are usually asked by the French teams.
