Five-match ban for Nedved (12 Viewers)

Pavel Nedved has moved to deny reports which quoted the Juventus star as stating he was ready to retire after receiving a five-match ban.

The row erupted after Nedved was dismissed in the Serie B draw with Genoa, with referee Stefano Farina reporting that the Czech star stamped on his foot following the award of the red card.

Reports in the Italian press subsequently suggested that Nedved was so infuriated by the punishment that he was ready to retire in protest, with Gazzetta dello Sport carrying quotes from the player via his agent Mino Raiola.

"Zinedine Zidane was given a three-match ban for the head attack, what did I do that I was given a five-match ban?" read the comments, attributed to Nedved via Raiola.

"If they are going to keep things this way, it can easily happen that I will hang up my boots."

However Nedved has now assured the Bianconeri that he has no intention of calling time on his illustrious career as a result of the controversy, clarifying his position via a statement through another agent, Tomas Klecka.

"If there is some speculation and that kind of quotations, it is just speculation that has been made by the media and other people," Nedved said via a statement made by Klecka to Sport.

"I have not threatened to end my career."

They all care about the team. They're just doing what they think is right.
Oh, yeah, Cobolli he's one of the best at his job, in fact he's Ifil's first choice when in need of a liquidator. Because Cobolli wasn't born football president, he's always worked as a liquidator and the Rinascente affair was probably his masterpiece. In his world he's named "il tagliatore di teste".

Anyway, be it inexperience or else, I hope that telling the papers that Zebina is someone we don't really feel the need for (Zebina today said, "they made me remain in B, but reading these comments now makes me reflect about what I'm doing this for") and that Crespo is what Juve needs (disrespecting the 5 forwards who are doing their best in B for his club) isn't considered by Cobolli and his staff the rightest thing he could have done.

Makes you wonder if Cobolli could use to apply some of his own expertise on himself.

Elisa, you have just confirmed what I thought about the Juve board! Remember my post in the Gigi Buffon Thread: -
" It's about time they did. If they were genuinely caring about Juventus then they would!

I'm not impressed with the board. So far, they have sold several players, taken "reserves" money to cover the deficit & have done nothing to obtain revenue either from more sponsors (& we still have the Tamoil contract) or from the Agnelli's or from any other source. They have spoken in such a way as to have shown A.C. Juventus in a bad light on more than one occasion (in business that's a definite "no-no") & collect big fat salaries from Juve for doing next to nothing.

They remind me of asset strippers - this is what they do. They get rid of the best staff & sell the best assets to give the firm money on a temporary basis. The remaining staff have to do their best struggle on to do the job with less of them to do so & with less resources. In the meantime the asset strippers collect fat salaries/fees & claim their doing well/a good job. The money quickly runs out because the asset stripping "managers" are doing Nothing to make the firm successful. They then repeat the process over & over until the business has nothing left, then they walk away to leave the business to go under.

I wish Juve could sell the "Board". Could the people in our forum do better? Very possibly. Perhaps not singly, but I'm sure a select group could!"

...and my opinion of them has not changed. The quicker Juve get rid of this lot the better for the team! Otherwise, moratti will get his wish & Juve will be no more!
