Yet another brilliant game. Should have had a hatrick of assists.

whislt he doesn’t perhaps have the sparkle, he has the grit - defending ability makes up for any lack of supposed lack of winger ness.

best signing of the market … by a mile.

Mostly a one trick pony, but our man excels with that trick. Like a bargain Robben (different tricks though). On top of that he has the grinta that makes him highly effective. He looks and acts like a serious guy. We need more of those.

Doesn’t matter if he’s a one-trick pony. He’s very good at one thing, and that’s all we need from him.

Im not sure he is a one trick pony….he does a lot of t rings really well …. If we had more fluidity and cohesion from the start of the season he would have had record amount of assists.

he is a reliable winger who can cross, defend, run all day, not slow…. Like the opposite of a Lolzillian. There is nothing not to like.

And oh, he plays a numbers game. Sure his crosses gets blocked, but he attempts a lot more crosses than anyone around. That increases his odds of getting a few very good ones every game.

We unlocked his ability as soon we started to play him as a wingback. It’s very clear given our personnel that a 3-5-2 is a must.

serbia and frankfurt often play 3-4-something, that's fine too. bottom line is that kostic is a wingback, not a winger, and his flat (low? what's even the right word) crossing is elite, but he won't necessarily feed lamp posts with high crosses. we need to learn how to make him a weapon and today was a nice indication that we started to see the light

A one trick pony whose trick is to run fast, run a lot, be defensively aware, pass the ball well, have a good shot, capable of taking players on and puts crosses in the box.

Pretty much exactly what you need for a winger or wing back. He isn't a show pony with tricks but is an effective player who no surprise looks better when the team overall is functioning better. If we use him properly and don't rely on him to beat players constantly, instead create the space for him we'll get the most out of him.
