I think England are definitely the best team in Europe and also better than Australia, but I didn't expect the US to be so poor at the tournament. Spain are a very good technical team though so it's not a given.
The styles were very different. Spain was coached like the 2010 mens team: seeking open zones and putting the ball there and hoping that a teammate would make a run in. England flopped on individual play trying to force things.
Even if Spain were embarrassed 4-0 by Japan, they were the best team in the end. A deserved title.
And sorry, @Alen, you've watched too many Juve matches of late to think that the Women's WC final was any worse than what we've witnessed the past two seasons.
