I posted this in the qatar thread, in case anyone missed it

Italy will no doubt boycott it especially after what happened in 2002 and 2006.

Any ways did anyone hear blatter's speech just now?

after what has happened this week with the corruption scandal going on, blatter didn't mention one word of it, instead he talked about promoting beach football and giving oceana more powers and to top it off joked how people over 50 are old ffs is this clown for real?

Those who voted for blatter are just as guilty, corrupted and bent as anyone else if you ask me

I know, but that's how people justify it.
Yeah. And that's pretty incredible. It was obviously bought, but if you bring it up they say it's not all about Europe and should be about letting people from all over the World watch football. Thereby completely ignoring that Qatar is a miniature desert state..

Do you mean 2010/2014 instead of 2006?

Honestly, sponsering the Qatari WC probably doesn't even make top 10 of despiccable things most of these companies have done.

No but it would be nice if it wouldn't be added as one more things they did to their list.
