Has anyone gotten the defending down in this game yet? I'm playing a very low defensive line now and keeping numerous players behind the ball but no matter what I do I still can't prevent the opposition from creating loads of chances.
If anyone has tips or tactics that have worked for them I'm all ears.

Computer or Online?
For the computer, I dont know what to tell you. Ive played on legendary throughout all the past fifas...this year I dropped to WC in an attempt to keep the scores of the higher rated teams down because like you said, they will pick you apart and create chance after chance.
For online, hold that good LT+A...thats what everyone else is doing and its pretty upsetting because it requires no effort and is far too affective.

I have some ideas/tactics and I want to give them but I don't know if I'm up to it yet

Anyway I feel concentrating too much at defense that sometimes I make too much avoidable mistakes when attacking.

Same here. I started with Professional level, and after 7 games of which I won 2, drew 2 and lost 3, it was kind of making me dislike the game. So I set it to Semi-Pro until I get used to defending and get the feel of the game better.
Now I wish there was another level in between them, as Professional is still difficult for me, but Semi-Pro is getting too easy.
