I don't understand Cam's obsession with Dzeko. He's not even the best striker on his team. Aguero, Balo, and Tevez are all better than him.

On current form:

Cavani/Benzema > Higuain >> Dzeko > Torres

I don't feel we need a Prima Puta (I mean Punta); If we could sign Suarez and Jovetic then we would have a devastating front 3; even one of Suarez/Jovetic with Ramirez from Bologna would make us very dynamic, creative, and unpredictable going forward. All 3 players in the forward rotation would then be able to interchange positions and confuse the shit out of defenses.

The best options for a CF type of striker right now would be Cavani and Benzema, although the latter is a very complete striker. They're the best two in the world right now, together with Van Persie. I'd take RVP too as a matter of fact. But yeah, those would be the most perfect options.

There are two things I don't like about Van Persie. He is already 28 and is injury prone, even though he has been fit for a year now.

Cavani and Benzema are the two best options I agree, but we probably won't get Cavani, let alone Benzema.

@Bianconero Nah, me neither. But either one of those three would be amazing. We'd win every game by like three goals. Imagine Benzema and Matri in a 4-3-3 or a 3-5-2. Murda!

@Treq He;s still relatively young at 28 but yeah, he is injury prone and if he leaves he's definitely going to a bigger team that pays massive wages ala Real Madrid.

Torres on form was a monster and so is Cavani.

I'd say that 2008 Torres=Cavani now.

Sadly, Torres hasn't been on form in years.
I think you are seriously overrating Cavani here. Torres on form is surely a better player.

Then again, who even remembers that?
Good point. Given the choice between the two right now, i'd actually go for Cavani. Torres being off form for so long makes me doubt that he'll ever return to his form. He's a bigger risk in that respect than Cavani is, and will probably demand much higher wages and even cost more.

Now let's await all those Bosnians who will come here and say that we're idiots for not saying Dzeko is the best player ever :D
Thats a bit insulting

Dzeko is a good player, but he's been in terrible form (although he has scored 14 goals), and a lot of Bosnians (me included) have started doubting he is as good as we thought. He has a horrid first touch at times and doesnt seem to be opening up properly to get the ball.

Although most still think his poor form is due to the way Man City play and that he'd be much better in another team. Still, I'd take him in Juve but not for the money Man City spent on him. But I do think that for us he could be a Trez-style striker and that he would be good.

Yeah and most of them claim he's not from Sweden :p

No, not really, most people (in Bosnia at least, dont know about Bosnians in Sweden) say that he is swedish. Our only regret is that we didnt get him to play for our national team.

It depends, if the guy wants to prove his worth once again, he needs to understand that he must aim under 10m per year, otherwise he's bound to stay in Chelsea or go to Anzhi type of club. Torres-Quagliarella or even Torres-Jovetič sounds like a problem for Serie A defenses.

I didn't mean for anyone to be insulted about Dzeko.

Anyway, I've seen the argument that Zlatan is Bosnian more than I care for. But then again, internet really makes the wankers come out of the woodworks, I'm glad to hear it's not the general opinion over there.

As far as Dzeko goes I haven't seen anything that warrants him a WC player. But like I said before, he seems to have hit a rough patch at City and confidence is low, their playing style maybe doesn't fit him either. Then again a WC player should adapt.

Given his form for the past two years, he does not warrant more than 15m, and would have to cut his wages by 50% which would be very unlikely.

I agree that he's not WC. I think that word gets thrown arount too easily, that should be reserved for the top 3-5 players in the world in that position, and Dzeko is not there, thats certain.
