I didn't see the game, but it's been a while that he needed to be benched. It could have actually be beneficial for him in order to sort his confidence problem, his motivation or his form whatever, if done at the right time. Now, that's just getting ridiculous, he's getting the nod while he fucks up each match, that's counterproductive.

the guy is a limited old fashioned striker who can't run to save his life. don't blame us on this.
no? Quagliarella. Amauri. Matri. Vucinic. Iaquinta. Llorente.

why is it that they always seem like pretty good players when they join us, and always seem like an improvement on whoever is there, and after 2 years they seem worthless?

this is a Marotta era thing, it wasn't always like this

Indeed. It is strange that they seem to have 1 good season then fall to pieces the next. Mirko was inconsistent so its hard to claim he was in the same mold at Matri, Amauri or Llorente.

Tevez thank god is world class. What a buy for us there.

except for Tevez, we haven't really had a striker consistent enough for about ten years now. Last one being Trezeguet

maybe there are some other factors included. for example, we buy them at their peak and they start declining after joining us, or we buy the wrong type of striker, or injuries. but its really funny how most of the CFs we are buying lately end up being bad in the end

cause we always change the core of the team not the strikers. system after system man! this attackers you mentioned saw different midfielders throw their time here. different formations and the instability in the last decade is voracious.

well, Morata is not at his peak yet and he doesn't have injury problems

well, doesn't that happen at other clubs?

anyway, you offer a hypothesis to back my point, namely that the club is the problem here

It was also there with Secco, from around 2009 if I remember.
