His off the ball movement and excellent acceleration would make him alot more mobile as you give him credit for.
While Higuain certainly isn't slow, I don't consider him quick enough for teams to be worried about that. To me, Higuain gets in good positions because he has great movement, not because of pace.

Yes - Aberdeen.

Lucio hated playing against Mackie.

You could see he just wasn't at all accustomed to being harrassed like he was by him.

He's not charging about from what I've seen.

He'll close down defenders at times, but a lot of the time he just positions himself in a way that makes it hard for defenders to pass forward, which is generally more useful than doing the headless chicken thing.

No it won't. And certainly not as good as Ibra-Llorente, even if we consider for a minuted that it did.
Wouldn't work as well as Ibra-Llorente but it would work IMO. Llorente is a pure CF and scores with his head better than most strikers in the world. He is a six yard box specialist. Higuain can play deeper and wider. He's much more pacey and skillful than Llorente. They aren't a match made in heaven but that's not to say they aren't compatible.

no way bro, Cavani is on a Drogba in his prime level in that respect.
Not a chance. Playing with Cavani is like playing with an extra player on your team. His workrate is immense.
Trust me, I've been watching Gonzalo since his River Plate days and only missed a few Real Madrid games since 2007. Obviously I know Napoli's Cavani as well. Higuain pre-injury was a 90 minutes non-stopping machine.

I wouldn't say Higuain's workrate is miles ahead of Cavani, but I believe Higuain now is on par with Cavani when it comes to workrate. Pre-injury Higuain is ahead of Cavani in that aspect IMO.

Didnt tought that injury was so severe, does it have long term effects for his career ?
It was a knee injury that kept him out of action for 6 months. It was not about the severity of injury that affected him, but Higuain never got a fair run of starts and match fitness after recovering. Mourinho preferred Benzema and even freaking Adebayor!

AMEN. I get absolutely livid watching forwards from big teams who have no clue how to position themselves properly. Forwards working as a team and manipulating space together is so fucking basic yet it seems that most top forwards either run around like turbo nerds because, hey, it's all about CLOSING DOWN ALL OVER THE PITCH or they just meander about all lazy like. Fuck, we were taught that shit at toddler level.

I haven't studied Llorente much in this regard but if he knows how to manipulate space without wasting energy then that is certainly a great sign. Then he needs a strike partner that can work with him as a team in that regard - we presently don't have one although Vucinic comes closest (when he can be arsed).
