Did Athletico start negotiating with Juventus at all? Otherwise we would have to buy him out by paying the price set in the clause.

Is there anyone with a properly informed opinion of Llorente? I've barely seen him play to be honest. I really wish we pushed hard for Dzeko when City weren't wanting him.
Llorente's at a pretty similar overall level to Dzeko.

Dzeko is more of a goalscorer, though, and Llorente is more of a target man who will contribute to general play.

Because I don't think he has the striker's ability to make up for it. "Peak Toni" (love that name, Suns) was simply a far better striker, and could live with not being pacy. And as JCK correctly pointed out, he always had very fast reactions.
I don't really see the comparison to Toni.

Llorente's power and technique allow him to be effective despite his lack of pace.

And while I wouldn't say Llorente is a natural goalscorer or has great instincts, but he knows how to position himself in the box to be a threat.

Many thanks. Easily the most informed member on here football-wise.

red's opinions on anything football related can be summed up in the following:

"I am not saying it is x, but I am not saying it it y either.

while x is more of a. y is more of b"

almost all his posts contain the following stucture. most indeciside person on this forum when it comes to sticking to one thought.

Shhh.

Don't let on that I only appear knowledgeable by sitting on the fence so that it's really hard for me to be wrong.
