I'm not sure signing Llorente and offloading Matri will be in our best interests. Llorente is a good finisher, but he's slow. Not Amauri-slow, but slow. There are no guarantees he'll do well in Serie-A. On the contrary, I expect him to struggle.

I doubt we will get him. Unless Athletico really wants to get rid of him and finally accepts an offer from Juventus directly.

Since when is Serie A known for it's fast paced football?
It isn't, but in Serie-A he'll very rarely (or never) find himself in the acres of space that he does in La Liga. It's a high pressing league, very defence-oriented, and I just think he'll have a lot of problems.

Speculation, of course, but ... We'll see, I guess, if he does indeed join.

Was Toni fast when he scored 30+ goals

But he was a much better striker in his prime than Llorente is now!
Better goalscorer perhaps, but better striker? :boh:

I never really liked or rated Toni.He always looked clumsy, lethargic, and slow. Definitely a poor man's Vieri who was a physical beast, an amazing scorer, excellent header of the ball, and also had decent control, and power :D
