A striker will come, I just don't think it is going to be either one of these two. in regards to Dzeko, there are too many moving parts to take place in order for it to happen. In regards to Llorente, Juve have set their price, which in all honesty is a very fair one for a striker who wants out on the last year of his contract. Comparisons to the RVP scenario cannot be made due to Van Persie being a better known name than Llorente.


I have this feeling that the striker will be coming from either the Bundesliga or Russia. Just a hunch, nothing more than that.

Exactly, however it was Marrotta who had already put them on the market before Conte's arrival. Only goes to show Marrotta had worked independently up until that point, and we saw those results. Same goes for Ziegler, he was bought by Marrotta without Conte's consent before his arrival, and which is why he was offloaded as Conte saw he didn't fit his system.

We were a good team last year. I see primarily the same starting 11 as last year despite a fulltime switch to the 352. Yes, he has built up our depth. Assuming all things remain the same, I think the most telling difference will continue to be up front. Which I believe was Marrotta's primary goal. So anything he did up until this point would be a bonus, we'll probably have the stamina to keep up our title challemge across three competitions, but the issues of last year will remain when the midfield will have to continue xreating 30 chances to get on the scoresheet. Its a very tangible issue that'll continue to plague us. This is not hate. But I for one, will definitely lose faith in his abilities.
