If we bring that Llorente and don't plan to get anymore strikers I just hope we don't sell Matri to Bilan. He can be useful at times, more than Quag.

I want a 4-3-3:

Buffon
Lichtsteiner - Barzagli - Chiellini - DC
Vidal - Pirlo - Marchisio
Pepe/Isla - Llorente - Vucinic

and our bench is quality too :juventus:

Nah he does compare to cavani at all.. But id gladly have him be productive and prove me wrong. Dont expect it though. Will probably play more minutes than his play warrants, because we want the investment to pay off. I usually want to give every player a chance but this one im very sceptical of.

Truth my ass.

So he would "ruin his career"?? downgrade? come on if this was 2007 or 08 then maybe, but last time I checked we are the title holders.
Juventus is still Juventus, man.

Who cares what others think? I don't.

But when a Juve "fan" says such a thing, it really bugs me.
He would be moving from the best club in the world, that is more than a club to juventus which may cease to exist if figc had their way

He would be moving from playing with the best players in history like xavi, iniesta, messi and puyol to playing with marchisio and chiellini lol.

He would be moving from cl contenders to cl underdogs.

He would be moving from a team with an actual coach, to a team with no coach.

He wouldbe moving from awesome barca fans like maher and ian, to psychos like janna and linebreak

History has oroven me right before. Why would I be wrong now.

Are we just settling on this and trying to make ourselves feel good about this transfer like we've gotten accustomed to? As champions of Italy, if we cant have the best forward in the league, then it's quite sad. I'm willing to agree with those who call him a good value purchase, but those calling him a great striker, would you have chosen him at the start of the season, and felt this way when were being limked to the cream of the crop? I'd like nothing more for Llorente to do fantastically in our colours, but to make him out to be a world beater is just getting our hopes up. He's a compromise compared to what we were made to expect.

The "we are juventus - the best and we should only sign the best" kind of ended when we realized we were not able (or rich enough) to sign any player we want. Sorry, but realistically we can't just go and sign Cavani when he's valued at 50m €! So yes, when we're linked to a good striker who could be the end to this out-of-proportion promised top striker - talk. Let's see if this is the player pour management will give us, and if so, how can anyone doubt this is Conte's choice!? Ofc it's Conte's choice - he's our manager, he is the one putting our team together, what do you expect? Marotta just selects a few players and say; here you go - try these out. (..... really?)

I think making ourselves feel good about a transfer is a good thing. If he's our player I suggest we back the deal up the most we can! Asamoah is a class player and we all knew that riiight from the start didn't we? riiight from the start, even before he scored an incredible goal........

Look at Roma who signed Destro, look at Inter who signed Palacio, look at Milan (Bendtner or Matri?!?!?!)

Cavani plays for Napoli because he was becoming the world class player he is there. That's how it work in these tough financial times - either you go for the next-big-thing or pray you shoot the rabbit in a player like Llorente.. We can't spend 40m € on a single player like Moggi did - we've signed a couple of solid players and a couple of talents for the future, when Moggi signed Nedved for 40m € he only signed one other player that season.

Vucinic really changed yesterdays game. He came on and instantly made an impact.

As of now, I think Vucinic deserves the starting spot. But on the games where Vucinic rather fall asleep I'm glad we have Giovinco.

I wish we could always see Vucinic and Giovinco on at the same time. It would be amazing IMO.

Vucinic - Llorente - Giovinco

You are ambitious. I like you :D Llorente could turn out to be the "Vucinic" of this mercato. Many had doubts about Vucinic last season, but he's been our best striker by far. However, just like Vucinic, he was never first choice, and a compromise when we realized we couldn't get the other players on Marotta's terms (and we never will, because he's a penny pinching miser who is unwilling to compromise, and we are talking 3-5 million Euros, not 10-15 million here).

To the people who want Jovetic instead may i ask wtf are you thinking? We need a poacher as a priority, a poacher which is something that Jovetic is not in case you haven't heard.

The others who think that Gio should play instead of Vucinic all i have to say is LOL.

Vucinic is not perfect but he is definitely miles better and more useful than Gio.

As for those who keep dissing the transfer because they don't know Llorente i am sure you have friends who do know him, ask them, i did that mysef and it's much better than spouting crap.
