hypothetical question: Llorente or Soldado ?
That is a tough call, but I would still go with Llorente because he seems to fit the mold of the type of striker that Conte is looking for.

A striker who knows his place on the pitch, and will not be required to do as much in the buildup of play.

Tall, and strong as an Ox. Also, from the few matches that I have seen of him on replay, he has a bit more technique to him than most people give him credit for.

He could strike fear into the hearts of Serie A CB's

Good point. I guess being a striker, Llorente may cost more. Plus, he has been called up for the Spanish NT too now.

Ozil was an incredibly good deal.
I don't think being a striker (to cost more) is relevant here, because Özil was clearly a much more effective player that was at a very young age as well. I guess you could use the example of Şahin here, Bundesliga champion one year (and voted the best player in the league) and goes for a small fee to Real Madrid that summer. Also at a very young age.

and Llorente isn't worth 20 million ? The retardation is strong in you guys
It's based on him having an expiring contract, which is what some websites claim.

van Persie for €30m is silly too.

I think i would also prefer Fernando. But it's a tough call indeed. Their age, statistics from previous seasons are practically the same. The only thing that differs is that Llorente has 195cm and Soldado 179cm. I don't know how this difference impact on their speed, because i don't watch Primera too much.

I don't watch very much of it either, but from what I have seen of Fernando, he is a guy who plays up to his size. Obviously, someone that tall and big is not going to be extremely mobile, but he uses his god given tools well. He also has a good shot too from outside the box, so he wouldn't be limited to just waiting around for proper service, in my opinion.

Now, keep in mind that I personally rate him slightly lower than Dzeko, as I feel that Dzeko has a slightly better skill set, but taking into consideration the availability factor of both of these guys, I would certainly take Llorente

We have never really replace Trezeguet, Llorente would be a great signing, especially for €20m. Whether we have actually offered €20m is a different story, and if it was to get accepted then its far better than paying an extra €10m for Dzeko....
