He would be moving from the best club in the world, that is more than a club to juventus which may cease to exist if figc had their way

He would be moving from playing with the best players in history like xavi, iniesta, messi and puyol to playing with marchisio and chiellini lol.

He would be moving from cl contenders to cl underdogs.

He would be moving from a team with an actual coach, to a team with no coach.

He wouldbe moving from awesome barca fans like maher and ian, to psychos like janna and linebreak

History has oroven me right before. Why would I be wrong now.
I agree with Lion that even for an average player like Villa, who nobody at Barcelona even noticed he's injured, it would be a step down. :agree: Dolion.

Llorente tells Athletic he will leave
By Football Italia staff

Fernando Llorente has reportedly told Athletic Bilbao that he intends to leave the club this summer, with Juventus edging closer.

The Bianconeri have been increasingly linked with the tall Spaniard this month, in light of his stalling talks with Athletic over the renewal of his contract that only has 12 months left to run.

Such rumours have seemingly been confirmed by Juve director general Beppe Marotta’s words to Tuttosport last night, whilst a Press conference has been called today in Bilbao, where the San Mames outfit will clarify Llorente’s position.

This morning, ahead of that clarification, AS are reporting that the international striker has informed the club of his intention to transfer this summer.

The player is valued at around the €30m, where his buyout clause is understood to be set, but it is thought that a lower bid could be accepted this summer, if his club decide to cash in on him, rather than run his contract down.

All this waiting around is annoying as $#@!, especially if it materialises to him staying up or signing for RM :sergio:
Just hope we don't buy someone lastminute.com for the sake of it and pulling the wool over our eyes again bout this "top player" target achieved.

Hey, if he indeed gets swept up by RM (They've been linked to him in the past, and they have an affinity for Spanish NT players), then that frees up Benz or Higuain for us, most likely Higuain :spliff:. It's a longshot, but we can dream.

Tottenham in for Llorente too. They're willing to offer him higher wages than Juve. Marrotta has also approached Shitty with a loan offer for Dzeko. 3-4m now, 20m next season. City are reluctant, but if there's any truth in this, then it is perhaps in all likelihood because we might still have JoJo in mind. Interesting week ahead I guess.

Actually i think it must be a press conference to discuss the futures of both Javi Martinez(who apparently seems close to Bayern) and Llorente..This is why probably a press conference was called in the first place since two of their most important players' futures are uncertain atm.
Martinez is not close to Bayern at all. That is old rumours.

Bilbao's president said that Llorente won't extend his contract (which runs out next summer) and they'll sell him only if anyone pays the release clause (€36 mill).
36mln for a player that runs out of contract next year is retarded. I hope he goes to Real for free and scores 10 goals against Atletic.

Just go sign Jovetic.

Probably just posturing from the Bilbao president, I don't think they can afford to write €20m off.

The problem is if they hold out for €25m or try to turn it into an auction we can pretty much forget it, Marotta won't do it.

Agreed.

I think we'll still offer 18-22mln so it's up to Atletic (and other clubs if they bid).
