Juventus' Felipe Melo Sidelined For 10 Days
Juventus will have to make do without the services of Felipe Melo for a while.
Struggling Italian side Juventus have received some disappointing news from the treatment table in the aftermath of their 1-0 home loss against domestic rivals Milan on Saturday evening.
La Vecchia Signora will have to make do without the services of holding midfielder Felipe Melo for a while as the Brazil international has sustained an injury that will keep him sidelined for at least 10 days.
Melo picked up the injury after a collision with Kevin-Prince Boateng minutes before the break. The former Fiorentina star played through the pain barrier until the final whistle, but complained about pain in his ankle after the game.
He underwent further examination on Monday and Juventus have now confirmed on their official website that Melo will be unavailable for around two weeks.
Meanwhile, veteran striker Luca Toni has also undergone an MRI scan to clarify the extent of his ankle problem, but the former Bayern Munich attacker's injury isn't too serious. Toni is expected to resume squad training within days.
