“If Juve had won six games more everyone would be speaking about the wonders of Felipe Melo,”[/B] he concluded.

Priceless.

That's almost as funny as Zac saying he didn't do that bad. While drawing attention to the fact that, since he started, only Roma, Inter & Sampdoria have won more points. Funny because that's far from an achievement to be proud of. Not to mention it's not even true to begin with (Palermo anyone?).

I still believe with the right coach, Melo will be great,we saw that in the matches where he had a free role to slow down opponents play and stole alot of balls from them.
Btw that is not exacly what he said, typical journalism twisting his words.

Melo critical of Juve Wednesday 12 May, 2010

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Felipe Melo has rejected claims that he doesn't deserve to be in the Brazil side by saying that Juventus lost five out of six games without him this season.

The 26-year-old midfielder who cost Juventus €25m last summer was voted Flop of the Year in January.

Speaking to ESPN Brazil, Melo was asked if he thought his first season in Turin had been a disappointment.

“I do not agree. Juventus have lost five out of six games without me.

“I play at Juventus like I played at Fiorentina, but they paid €25m for me and for this reason the people expect me to score in every game.

“Last season I was better at stealing balls from my opponents. I participated in the Confederations Cup last summer and I am always playing.

It's right to say that this season hasn't gone how we expected, but everyone at Juve didn't have the season they expected.

“If Juve had won six games more everyone would be speaking about the wonders of Felipe Melo,”
he concluded.

PVC: "but with you Juventus had their worst season in 40 years"
Melo: "wait a min, its not because there was an award (Bidone d'Oro), that a radio gave as a joke, that you can say somethiing like that, i dont think you understand anything about football"

Beat me to it.....what a prat. Any mediocre footballer who refers to themself in the third person clearly has an ego greater than their talent and is therefore an utter plonker.

Not able to answer tough questions = Hang up the phone.
Having trouble ignoring crowd noise = Tell the fans to shut up.
Disagree with ref = Laugh in his face and nod like a crazy person.

Melo is a head case.

Eh, if this was Ibrahimovic, folks would be bowing down to him and licking his boots.

At least Melo shows effort on the pitch.

Some of this regarding Brazilian players is just nonsense.
