So is this going to end with us selling Melo or giving him lots of hugs and kisses and telling him what a good player he is? I suppose it depends if we can actually get anyone good to replace him.

but he is not above Juventus. No1 is to blame here but himself.
Juventus isn't even above fucking Udinese now, so who cares?

Blame Melo all you want, the club has become a shitty club under management that doesn't respect our players and our tradition, and they've been shopping Melo.

#1) Someone who has had ONE GOOD SEASON with Juventus should not be going to the media saying that there are players that are not good enough on the team. We as fans already know this. One good Season from him does not give him carte blanche to speak about the ability of his teammates. Del Piero, the ultimate Juventino, would never stoop so low.
If he's personally asked about it, why not? What, you want him to say Pepe is a world class player or something, or that he'd be an idiot for wanting to be coached by Mourinho instead of Del Neri?

You lot are forgetting he was personally questioned by Gazzetta over all of this, including the whole work with Mourinho nonsense. Melo simply responded to questioning. I guess if you want him to lie to preserve the nonexistent "team unity" we already have, that's fine. But he's still correct in what he said. And that doesn't make him one of the many expletives you labeled him in some of your posts, Serge.

#2) Uh, I never said he was mentally fragile. I called him a self centered, whining ignoramus that is a lot smarter than people here give him credit for.
And this is why I responded as I did. You have no basis of claiming any of that, considering it is

#3) Please don't compare Del Piero's comments to Melo's. Alex has NOTHING to prove to anyone, and is nearing the end of his career. I can't believe that you would even bring that up.
I bring it up because these are the sort of double standards we face on this forum and as fans of Juventus. Melo was questioned on whether he'd like to work with Jose, just like Alex was asked if he would like to play in MLS, and they both gave rather appreciative answers. In no way, whatsoever, does that prove his tirade is a scheme to abandon the club. His words are EXACTLY THE SAME as Del Piero claiming he'd like to work in the MLS.

And of course you will side with him, because he is blasting the management, so in your eyes, it doesn't matter WHAT he says or HOW he says it, he must be 100% right.
And who can blame me, seriously. After all these years of failures where I've said we are heading in the wrong direction, including all of this silly bias from Marotta since day one, I don't give a crap about that shit, Sergio. Especially when the same folks in charge have proven time and time again to make foolish decisions regarding our more prominent players. All sorts of these alienated players have been mentioned in this thread. You think our players can't follow obvious trends and figure out what's going on? Yes indeed, in that respect, Melo isn't a complete moron, as you said. But without a doubt, neither are you, so don't act that way.

Melo HIMSELF doesn't know if he is being used as a bargaining chip or not, yet you are stating it as fact?
There isn't any reason for him to come out and claim this unless he has some sort of probable cause. I'll take you back to LAST SUMMER when he was rumored to be exchanged or sold -- not ONCE did he make these sort of comments. Melo only claimed he wanted to perform his best for the club and he did a decent job at that this past season in a horrible Juventus ruined by the same imbeciles you lot are defending in this same fucking discussion!

How do you even know that he is being used as a bargaining chip? Has anything been said officially?

You can't have it both ways. You are one of the first people to call bullshit on transfer rumours, but you are absolutely sure that he has been transfer listed without any proof?
Being transfer listed means knocking down his value by a few million Euros. Even a completely inept general director like Giuseppe Marotta is not going to admit a player is for sale when possible swaps or bids are in order.

And after all, Melo is closer to the situation than we are, right?

:howler: of course the invisible man and ballerina 2.0 fanboys will jump at this, melo spoke out of frustration yes we all know he can totally control his emotions and once again guess what so does the evil cyclops. I d much rather have the fighting spirit of a melo(with his 'alleged' disciplined issues) than the cowering losers who shouldnt even be warming our bench, yes thats marchisio and aquilani
Indeed. Period, PARAGRAPH.

oh please melo is just saying what we all say here, italians are viewed and regarded differently in Juve, and that is wrong. How does marchisio get an extension for doing jack shit and melo our best mid gets the boot? which posts are being shifted here?
That is absolutely correct. Your words are proven by their own actions, both in contracts and in the transfer market. It is a highly pathetic practice, but you will never, ever hear anything about it from Azzurri fanboys.

And folks wonder why I consider them nothing more than bird turd on my windshield.

i prefaced my post by saying that melo cant control his emotions all the time and mentioned in a previous post that he needs to feel loved, marotta has been trying to sabotage him and sell him for a while so any 'objective', everyone on these boards knows you re not when it comes to claudio, can see that. So the question remains hows he wrong to be frustrated at being forced out considering(and that is a valid consideration despite you and your fanboy buddies) mediocre if rewarded on the other hand??
Totally correct, and yes, anyone who disagrees is clearly an idiot.

Selling Melo and keeping Ghostisio = Idiocy

No other way to put it and nothing can change that fact.
 No doubt. But you know you'll never get that out of the obvious crew around here.

Melo said:
“There are two or three players who have been heavily criticised by the fans because they did not meet expectations on the pitch,” he stated.

“They are not worthy of Juventus and are not good enough to fight for the title.
So I guess we should have sold his ass last season?

After reading through all the pages I've missed on this thread, I've only a couple of things to say. Just because what the management is doing is wrong doesn't make what Melo is doing right. And in a professional setup, things have to handled professionally. If I've been ill treated by my boss or the management, I'd take it up with them or the higher ups. Not publish it in the company newsletter (Unless I want to be kicked out). No matter how true it is, that action never deserves praise. Melo has been a professional footballer for about 9 years. Plenty of time to learn that.

:agree:

funny how Melo kept quiet and now that Del Neri is gone he becomes outspoken all of a sudden. Couldn't agree with you more Ice, the fact of the matter is that these sort of issues should be sorted out internally and not aired out in public. If Melo considers himself part of this project and wants to help Juve get back to winning ways, the last thing he should be doing straight after the appointment of a new coach, with the opening of the new stadium and lets just say a new cycle, is start bashing it right at the outset.

At the same time however I agree with the main point he is making regarding the quality of the players around him this past season, it's just a pity that he had to announce his disappointment in such a disrespectful manner towards the club.

What a fucking retards are running this club. Felipe shouldn't even be negotiated in any transfer, let alone renewing for him and give him the credits he deserves.

The man has played very good this season, too bad our results reflexes something else but what the fuck you see in Inler, Aquilani, Pirlo??? Melo is twice the player Pirlo is, 5x the player tampon girl is and a lot more than Inler.

The man has done stupid things on the field but he has shown that he's a classy SOB, I can't forget the header he scored 2seasons ago and when he went straight to the fans and apologized to them all. He has a heart he needs to be loved like Baggio mentioned earlier, he is the project we should lean on not the fucking Motta projects.

Edit: Alen :lol: Ghostisio, you cracked me up fucker:lol:

I wouldn't use class and Melo in the same sentence. From our current squad nobody other than Del Piero and Buffon deserves that adjective

Of course, it is classier to fuck up badly and apologize than to not fuck up at all. It's like the troublemaker in class who gets overly praised when he does something right, yet the kids who behave themselves every day are taken for granted.

Well, there isn't much to go into details, it's pretty clear that Melo is levels above all our midfielders, even the current new one Pirlo + Inler combined.
You know this how, one good season? I'm not interested in getting into this debate anyway, I have no qualms with Melo as a player, but as a character. I'm only focusing on his unprofessional comments, I'll leave it to others to base their argument on such things as the evil cyclops, invisible bandieri and the terrorist management. When I read these things it becomes too obvious the standpoint and dilutes the argument. As Melo is away (I assume) at this point and management have yet to speak to him I'll wait to see what both parties have to say. However I don't expect they'll take the comments too lightly. These are the sort of things you say in private and can be resolved. If Melo wants to read about his future through the media and conduct his future through the media then he's making a rod for his own back, which seems his intention anyway.

There's a reason why Trezeguet, Camoranesi and the likes have bashed the Mang in their previous statements. It's not a surprise for me if Melo did the same. We have to be asking ourselves, why the fuck our players are disrespected? And I am not talking about the likes of Tiago for example but the ones that have really left their marks or are this teams future.

I don't remember Camoranesi bashing anyone, but those are two passionate players. It was time for them to go anyway, you have to say goodbye some time. If we replaced them sufficiently (basically had a better season in terms of standings...) they wouldn't even be mentioned. I also don't remember them slating teammates. Trezeguet made his point once to the previous management and remained, we'll see what happens.

Camoranesi: "Both parties knew that the moment to say goodbye had arrived, but the club could have avoided putting players who they had decided to sell out of the squad."

Granted its not the same type of bashing to melo, but they didnt like how the management did things.
