Fehér Miklós (24) the player of Benfica, and the Hungarian national team died on the pitch yesterday. It happened at the 93. minute of the Guimares-Benfica game, when his heart stopped and despite all the doctor's efforts he passed away.

i have only heard of feher about once or twice, and then while I was doing my add maths the news here showed the video, where he just collapsed, and everyone ran at him, and the benfica players' expressions were undescribable, they were extremely sad I can tell, and just seeing that brought tears to my eyes, this is worse than seeing davids play in barca, it REALLY brought tears to see his teammates distraught over his death

RIP FEHER.
god bless.

Its really sad for it to happen to any player. So freaky that it happened immediately after he got the card. I doubt it had nething to do with him being on the pitch for 90 minutes becoz he wouldnt be clear to play if he wasnt fit. Its just coincedental. I guess when one's time comes, there isnt nething ne1 can do about it.

    R.I.P Miki Feher.

    Fvcking CNN

They just announce the news that he was dead, they didnt show the video.
I think it's out of respect more than anyhing. No need to show the incident. I think it's good that they gave the guy some dignity

Sudden unexpected death (SUD) is the death of an athlete, usually during or shortly after physical activity. Often, there is no warning that the person will experience SUD, although in some cases, warning signs appear which cause the person to seek medical advice. Importantly, cases of death occurring during physical activity are not caused by athletic heart syndrome, but by undiagnosed heart disorders.

    Causes and symptoms

Athletic heart syndrome is the consequence of a normal adaptation by the heart to increased physical activity. The changes in the electrical conduction system of the heart may be pronounced and diagnostic, but should not cause problems. In the case of SUD, other heart problems are involved. In 85-97% of the cases of SUD, an underlying structural defect of the heart has been noted.

    Diagnosis

The changes in the heart beat caused by the electrical conduction system of the heart are detectable on an electrocardiogram. Many of the changes seen in athletic heart syndrome mimic those of various heart diseases. Careful examination must be made to distinguish heart disease from athletic heart syndrome.
