The last time Liverpool achieved a major trophy was 2019/2020 and they won EPL, since then they have been in decline. This year they are behind Man city and Arsenal and soon they'll drop points once they face with worthy opponents. Pretty much the main contenders are Man city and Arsenal for the title. If Chiesa stays healthy and injury doesn't bring him down he can be a regular starter there and be the first 11 in their Starting lineup.

He ain't benching Salah
Doubt he'd bench Diaz on the left either.

Injured and therefore in and out of training and struggling - not poor in training (a la Sancho for ex).

Nevertheless bad sign for the guy doesn’t seem that he’ll ever be a consistently fit player he’s going to go from injury to injury

We never should have bought him in the first place. But we shouldn’t have sold him either. Despite his poor injuries and performances he’s still better than Kily Gonzalez and maybe even Yildiz. No idea what Jungtoli was doing with this. 10m? Come on loser.
Cmon man Chiesa was arguably one of the best Italian players till his ACL injury.
We had to sell him, he didn't want to renew on our terms, now look at him, he's barely featured for Liverpool due to injury, I say we did well to sell him.

We bought Chiesa for a sum of around 50M and sold him for 10M.

Do the math guys, it's not that hard.

50M-10M=40M loss

Watch and learn.

Following that logic you could buy an 18 year old player, have him score 30 goals a season for 20 years and call it a failure when he retires at 38.

After all you didn't make any money on selling him.

If Chiesa scored 30 goals a season for us and won us trophies every year, no, it wouldn't be a loss.

But Chiesa literally accomplished nothing with us.

Amortisation value we actually didn't make a loss, we broke even if anything. He was in the last year of his contract, 2 years of under performance/injuries, a poor euros, what did you expect?

Better than keeping him, and losing him to inter for free

Arne Slot on Chiesa's return: "There are ups and downs. Sometimes he trains with us and then has to be sidelined due to a new injury."

And to think we send him away to bring Chico... Giuntoli its the men!!!
