While i agree that its a shame they lost him for next to nothing, and it looks like the club could really use him right now, its his fault for acting like a retard demanding absurd wages. Hard to blame management when the player is acting so unreasonably

It's mostly modern agents who are to blame and just the fact that players are getting paid crazy amounts of money by clubs they don't really care about so will always jump ship whenever it suits or benefits them.

I still think we could have handled it alot better though.

We saved on his undeserved wages. He rides the bench for Liverpool and no way he starts any important game unless there are injuries. He simply isn't worth what he was asking, which is a big deal for us given our finances. No hard feelings, hope he can help stop City from winning another title.

Yeah I hate the low amount we got for this guy.

People on here were crying when we sold Huijsen (potentially €18m) and Soule (potentially €30m)…these guys are comparative nobodies compared to Chiesa who went for €12m

Yeah, yeah, last year of his contract and all, but we shot ourselves in the foot by the way we totally put him out of the project and let everyone know how desperate we were to sell.

What potential? He will be 27 years old next month and is unlikely to get any better. You could say he had potential 4 years ago when he was younger and didn’t suffer his devastating injury.
Salah improved dramatically after his move to the English league, and he was 25 at that time. Robben was 26/27 when he went to Bayern. Christiano freaking Ronaldo peaked in his 30's, and the list goes on and on.. But yeah, you are right Mr India, It's impossible to get any better after 26. :baus:

He'll never reach his ceiling at Liverpool because he can't break into the first team, he should've gone elsewhere. Against Wolves when they needed to get that late win, Chiesa was never considered. He's a good player, but not good enough for Liverpool so this will be a low productivity season for him.

Juve handled it badly but he's not going to do much now. Even his international career will suffer now. Stupidity on both sides really, he might have become a hero with us, but I guess we won't know the full story.

The last time Liverpool achieved a major trophy was 2019/2020 and they won EPL, since then they have been in decline. This year they are behind Man city and Arsenal and soon they'll drop points once they face with worthy opponents. Pretty much the main contenders are Man city and Arsenal for the title. If Chiesa stays healthy and injury doesn't bring him down he can be a regular starter there and be the first 11 in their Starting lineup.
