I look back at the last couple seasons and remember thinking gee, if it wasn't for Chiesa saving our asses, we would have had more draws and losses. I 'member him being the only threatening person in attack, even when he was half injured.

Who are we going to rely on when the goings get tough this season? Yildiz? Weah? Even Soule was a big game changer and he was sold.

It's going to get worse before it gets better.
No sir, you can't have opinion like that here. Apparently season needs to start and you have to see how it goes before you write anything.

i would rather lose to if we had a good and successful environment but we all know this is not the case.
this club is in it worst days in the last 50-60 years, after few years of extremely bad and mismanagement.
at this point, on rebuilding with limited funds any penny counts.

bty - if he was such a talent, how come no one came for him ??
Right, every penny does count. And as such, placement in the table and every Champions League win is more vital than ever because it'll mean more money. We can't afford to bench our best players because we might have to actually see contracts to completion. Look at our mercato now, could you imagine if we missed out on CL spots? I don't even want to think about it.

This is a tired argument thrown around here and I won't be entertaining it. Look at all the clubs that came for De Ligt, lot of good that did us and then Bayern.

They're literally using the same tactic as the Allegri throaters. "Just give him a chance, season hasn't started. If things don't start turning around in February I will change. It's OK he won a Scudetto before, there's always next season but we have no money" as we sell Yildiz to fund Ivan Provedel.

can this be used in other ways?

like for example if i told guintoli don't sell mckennie. wait for season to start and let him play before judging if he should be sold.

is that acceptable or no?

Yes. It's perfectly fine because it's your opinion. And Giuntoli can have his own opinion too. Respect other opinions, but do what you deem right. The result on the field will answer who may be right or wrong.

But it's another matter if you insult Giuntoli for having a different opinion with you. Say he will definitely fail because he doesn't do things you like. Then, I call this unfair.

I can understand why management want to offload him
- he is in big salary (9,26m base + 1.85m bonus) = 11,11m gross
- he is in his final year of his contract > book value of 15m
- his output (goal contributions), especially after he injured, can easily be matched by someone with third or half of his salary. Someone like Nico Gonzales probably will cost us around 5-6m gross per year

Our plan A is to sell him to Roma for 20m, but he refused. If he accept that offer, we will probably keep Soule (in Juve or loan him out to increase his value even more) and get Sancho on loan with Weah as the backup. If this plan really happened we probably will give Soule contract extention with around 2,5m salary and loan him probably to club like Fiorentina to get European experience (reason #1) and that kind of salary, they still can afford it (reason #2). And we will sell him after this season to fund Sancho, or to keep him and not take Sancho option based on their performance this season

After Chiesa refused, then we sell Soule instead, why :
- high plusvalenza total of 22.4m
- he ask for higher salary, his salary increase from 560k per season gross > 3.7m base + 930k bonuses = 4.63m in total (first team salary)
- he want guarantees as first team player
- we need cashflow to keep pursuing our main target Koopmeiners

That is why, right now we dont go for straight when we bid for Nico Gonzalez, because most of the money still allocate to get Koopmeiners
I am content if we can get Koopmeiners, Nico Gonzalez and another winger that can play as striker

and this is why the last thing you want to do is reward the player by allowing him to play and gain more "trafic" and when the season is over you left empty handed.
in both cases you lose him for free so why not find replacement that you can count on right now and maybe in the process you will make him change his mind and come begging for renewal ?

there is also the bigger picture here, what message will it send to other players ?
if, a big if, the case was about a great talent, someone with a proven record maybe it was worth the risk,
but for someone so inconsistence, moody and not so much of star it would be pure irresponsibility.

am i reading this right?

members here worried that if juve plays him and he does so well that other teams come after him, he will leave.

what if... and this will blow your minds. what if then juve offers him a contract that matches what he wants at that point instead of letting him leave for free.

or is no one alllowed to earn more money at juve?

Yes we like big buts and we cannot lie.

And this guys is the biggest but we had recently.

Yes he's the best grinta player we have, but he handled his contract situation dreadfully.

Yes he played well with Ronaldo, but than Allegri happened.
