I don't think Motta has anything to do with this. They've obviously been trying to find an agreement for over a year without succeeding. They just don't want to see him leave for free. I have a hard time seeing Motta who's in desperate need of wingers as he has nobody at his disposal right now want to get rid of one of the better wingers in the league.

Pretty much what i’ve been saying all along as well, the rest of the gossip about it being a tactical decision by the coach is just our way of letting Chiesa(and others) know that they won’t be playing next season if they try to force their stay.

Apparently 14.9m is the lowest we can sell in order not to make a net loss, so that's where this 15m is coming from imo.
If a team offers 15m for Chiesa, there will be others to offer more. Or at least I hope that a bidding war will start.

The best thing to do at this point really seems to be just playing hardball to get the best deal, Either we re-sign him even in the middle of season or sell him at a low price in the winter.

Imagine after his performances at the Euros we were told in 2 years he would be swapped with Raspadori or sold for 15m euro.

If we swap Chiesa for Raspadori then Jungtoli is horrible. This whole Napoli connection is already fucking irritating.

i don't see any sporting reason why we are so desperate to sell him. he must have betrayed the club, that's the only logical explanation why we're literally kicking him out asap. we waited 3 years for him to get back into shape, it was an investment of time and money. we'd keep him if we could. so something has surely changed between the club and the player.

if Schira is to be believed he’s already turned down Saudi offers. He’s probably waiting for Man City or some shit.

announcing hes not part of the project also puts pressure on Chiesa. Might force his hand if he was planning on playing out his contract and bouncing to Inter on a bosman. Fuck that.

This could be the reason too. Selling him for 15m meaning no financial consideration to let him go. There must be other reason.

We can give him raise even with our additional 4th keeper but we just wont, we actually want to cut his salary lower for longer term or at least add one more year with the same salary (bridge) and think the solution for him next year

But now all the door is seems closed, and either we sell him for 15m or I hope we play him in Serie C for a whole year
