Yes saga is an exaggeration so let's call it tedious media speculation.

For me Chiesa was a future symbol of this club and after losing him for a year due to injury, supporting him through his rehabilitation then showing patience after many poor performances and niggling injuries I would of expected the bridge renewal to be a formality as a sign of good faith knowing the financial situation of the club.

Yes he's totally entitled to ask for more money but that could of been spoken about down the line but the fact that be looked around and is seemingly only signing the extension because he got no better offers is worrying to me.

Of course we don't know if any of its even true but speculating about the only info that we are given is what these forums are for so on the things I've mentioned I'd definitely sell if a great offer presents itself and we can get a good replacement.
Everything is media nonsense

The ONLY THING currently ON THE RECORD from either player or club is Chiesa saying he wants to stay at Juventus, and his dad saying he's happy and doing well at Juventus and expects it to continue.

Everything else has been the typical media nonsense you see every year.

Anyone with common sense knows Chiesa and Juve will talk after the Euros and go from there. Every rumor out there is possible. Juve may want to sell. Chiesa may want more money or to see what other options are available before committing to Juve. It may be a quick and easy renewal for all we know where 90% of the framework is in place and only little details need to be figured out. We just dont know. Just let it play out, rather than seeing a report that his agent would be in Rome, therefore, Chiesa must be demanding too much money and his agent is plotting a move to Roma.

Seriously, just re-read the past month of posts in this thread and laugh at the nonsense. Then go back and read the posts in here from the summer last year with all the rumors that Juve were going to sell him. It's laughable.

Almost all of these important players currently at international tournaments arent dealing with contracts and transfers on a day to day basis. It'll all happen after they're eliminated and have time to go home and settle in for a bit. Deals like the Douglas Luiz ones are different because Aston Villa had financial issues they had to get finalized before July 1 to avoid penalties.

.
We know Juve wanting Di Lorenzo for Chiesa had to be nonsense. If it wasn't Giuntoli and Co. would have been asked to leave The crap the media throws out there with regards to Euro soccer. :D

He was shitful against the Swiss. Stop complaining and yelling at others...work hard to make space and create something. Seen better performances from mckennie on the right.

Initially signed as a loan for €10M for two years. Then purchased for €40M plus bonuses.

Played 98 games for Juve scoring 21 goals.

Sell or keep? How much is this guy worth now after a dismal Euro?

All I know is- playing in Champions League next season, Juve better get their shit together. The likes of Kostic, Rabiot, Vlahovic, and McKennie need to go along with Fede’. No way we’re competing with the technical players Real Madrid, Man City, and even Arsenal have now.

Ain’t no way any other club gives him the money he and his agent are demanding

He’ll most likely come grovelling back to us with cap in hand and accept our offer. His stock is the lowest it’s been in years.
That’s the only reasonable thing to expect at this stage but if that’s not already enough for him to come to terms with reality then it’s probably for the better to be looking at alternatives.

not a fan of this dude but both of these are pretty good takes. first: chiesa isn't a star anymore, he needs to go back enjoying the game and reestablish himself first instead of demanding more money. 2nd: facts say that he's most effective on the right wing

not completely his own fault, but now he really can’t justify a raise anymore. I bet he was thinking he could ball out at the euros and be in demand again. But if the reason for him possibly leaving was technical, i don’t see how anything changes. If anything, it would make him even more likely to leave. I just hope they don’t settle on the transfer fee. I’d rather lose him for nothing than give him to another Italian side on a discount.

Agreed. Tbh i love the guy and would want him to stay. But no way would i be happy to sell for 20-30m to an italian side.
