Im glad Allegri used him as a forward - Wanted to see him play as one for some time now.

Tough to call him a Del Piero since DP characteristics were definitely different.
Chiesa is more about speed while DP had that incredible ball control.
He reminds me of Tevez with his determination and technical abilities.

What should he develop in order to become more lethal? Perhaps jumping/heading abilities. Definitely not bulking. And perhaps some energy management, as Allegri said he sprints too much throughout the game. I’m liking the ST experiment, the more I think about it the more I believe in it.

I think the heading is already there. That goal vs Porto was Ronaldoesque.

Id say set pieces is probably the missing piece. If he starts taking them and becoms good at free kicks, he would become the absolute complete attacker. Right now Dybala is the only one in the team that who is decent at them, and maybe Berna.

He wouldn't be the first winger to be turned into a pure forward. I still think he needs to play off a CF type.

I'm happy mbappe and haaland are rated as the best young forwards and the bigger teams will focus on those two come this summer. Gives us a chance to keep chiesa. May be an early call but chiesa and vlahovic could be a nice partnership.

Back to ADP of 97/98...an amazing season pre injury...but he also had zidane, davids, Deschamps, conte, inzaghi etc....around him. Chiesa has rabiot bentancur bernadeschi mckennie ramsey LOL.

off the ball movement. don't underestimate the effects of playing with the best off the ball mover in ronaldo will have had on him. must have been a real eye opener for him to see how the best striker in the world moves in training.

he just needs to keep on improving that and he will be a great forvet.

Worst transfer of decade.
We had bad transfers before, but this one easily takes the cake as he is a player that we don't need.
Since we don't have decent transfer manager's, it's understandable if a player we get for a role we need flops, like it happened with almost every player we got last year.
But this was not even needed and came at the expense of players that would offer us solutions on positions that we truly hurt, like the LB for example.
Although this a Berna deal all over again and to me it was always clear that Berna will never reach Juve material. At least when we got him, we actually needed one such player, Chiesa comes for all the wrong reasons and the capital invested on him will cripple our future and prevent us from getting the players we trully need.

It hasn't been so bad for us since the return from serie B, too bad we never learn...
It’s funny to read some comments at the beginning of this thread

Nice little assist for Locatelli, our backbone for the future those two.
Could have had another, shortly before the AS header, when he wrestled someone off in the box and laid it off, but Mckennie was too stupid to realize what was going on and make a run.

I just lost it at McKennie in that moment. Showed his entire lack of football intelligence as he stood dumbfounded as to why was Chiesa looking at him. :wallbang:
