To people that say he doesn't excel in anything, his long passing is really good and so are his through balls, he's also really at distance shooting and taking Fks. His dribbling should not even be mentioned...
So where can we get the best out of him? Does he excel as a winger?

He's best as AMC which makes this transfers weird cause we have Dybala playing behind Pipita if we're to play 4-2-3-1. Playing Berna on the wing is doable, but still a weird idea because it simply ain't his position. So we're spending around 50mln for a player to play him out of his best position. :baus:

Not if we won't restrict Dybala's and Berna's positioning on the pitch. They could easily interchange positions. Also, we're not Fiorentina and we have Allegri. Calm down.

Why ? He played both wing positions for Fiorentina regularly. I don't see it being a weird idea because he's excelled on the wings as well cutting in from the right especially.

One thing you can say though is that maybe we're also planning the post Dybala era one year in advance :baus:

So Dybala would go on the right? It makes even less sense.

:lol2: you might be right.

btw I just think he has characteristics of an AM, not a winger. He's not the one who uses speed and crosses. Like I said, he might do good on the wing but he'd excell behind a striker. It would be pretty great to see him behind Pipita and Dybala, which ain't gonna happen sadly :p

This was the point that I couldn't be arsed to post.

If we're to play 4-2-3-1 then I'm guessing Bernie is on the wing. But then again he gives you that option to change formation. Not a bad thing I guess.

Italian players are less talented in this generation.
VERY wrong. Exactly which nationalities have a more talented pool than the young Italians right now? That list will at most be 1 country long.

We are Juventus. We've always built our success on talented players from Serie A. I don't understand how people develop such a strong bias against what we are built on.

I didn't mean this generation with Caldara and others. I meant over the past 5-10 years where they produces close to 0 quality players when Iaquinta, Matri, Quag and others were fighting for a spot, when Italy didn't get past groups and when we bought many crappy players just because they are Italians which held us back.

In Europe? France and Spain with ease. I would suggest the germans, but I dont even know most of their young talents anymore, tho they win every youth championship around (u-19, u21 and confed in same summer? confed squad was basically u23 team).

Mandzukic' passing is mediocre. The reason we're looking for him is because he's the strongest attacker physically and in the air, meaning he can hold the ball or head it through. That's about it.

Bernardeschi is a real raw talent and age is only a number. He can easily grow a lot when moving to a top club or elseway we should also stop pretending Dybala can improve because he's also 23 and has 2 years of top club experience already...
I agree. Cant expect everyone to have the same career as Messi. Some guys are late bloomers.

Yes but Bernardeschi isn't part of that group. This is a generation that we need to build on. Even that poor generation of the 80's gave us Chiellini, Bonucci and Marchisio. Three core players. If we built on 3 great players from the 80's, then with the 90's group we shouldn't lag behind. Caldara, Rugani, Bernardeschi would be a great start while hoping that Spinazzola, Orsolini and Mandragora make it with us eventually.

We are already missing out on 5 of the best ones (Insigne, Verratti, Donnarumma, Belotti, Gagliardini). We shouldn't sleep on Bernardeschi.

Don't understand the comments about Bernardeschi and Dybala not being able to play together in a 4-2-3-1. Yes, both of them would ideally like to play as Treq, but this is 2017 and Capello isn't our manager, players don't stick rigidly to their position for 90 minutes anymore.
