Dybala looked like he could turn out to be worldclass, even back than, Bernardeschi doesn't have one stand out trait. He's looks mediocre from head to toe.

Sure.

If he's in the right team, surrounded by the right players, he can grow up to be just as good as Messi.
Mediocre, really? That shot of his f.e., do you think it's mediocre?

Well, ok then. Obviously you prefer a larger name were as I prefer a potential.
Don't get me wrong, I wasn't jumping up and down when we spend 90 mio on 1 player last year, so I don't really care for names or players being proven.

Of course its mine.

It seems as if I am one of only 3 people on this forum that actually want him here because of his talent
That's the issue. Compare him with JGC, Pjaca, Mandzo, Dybala and Pipa and tell me in which special"talent" he's better or very close to the ones above?

IMO he's good in different areas but no excel in any so for me is a gamble cuz his price should be more between 30-35. For god sake even Arsenal just bought Lacazette (which as CF is more expensive) and almost paid 50m for him

Last year was a mistake. Beppe went to the exchange and said 'give me 200kg worth of player for 90mil' He expected his usual 3 players for 30ish mil but ended up with Higuain

Wait, didn't you prefer a washed up di Maria over an unproven Berna (your first reply to me)?
How is a washed up player quality?
If it was up to me i wouldn't sign any of those two, but if we really intend to throw money out of the window, then i'd rather go for a washed up big name than for Bernardeschi - yes.

Ok, fair enough.
Just out of curiosity, who would you sign?
It's tough, most top wingers are already at top clubs. I guess i'd rather spend big on a midfielder like Fabinho.

Keep the 4231, get Danilo and a worldclass mid, add Keita and Orsolini as depth options for Serie-A so that Mandzu, Cuads and Dybala get a rest every now and then. That's what i would do.

You guys should realize the market evolved.

50M euros? I'm not shocked.

Also, lets not have double standard, if Juve sells a player (sandro for example), of course you don't want to sell it like it was 5 years ago.
If you read my previous posts in this thread from today you'd see that I do "realize" that the market evolved. But that is not the point of my laughter. If €50m is the new €25m then he's not even worth that much. Viola side can ask for €50m but that doesn't mean someone will/should actually pay. He's not that valuable of a commodity.

I am very sad for the amount we are committing on him. I believe he is only average at best. He is worse than Marchisio, Khedira, or Pjanic. Completely useless defensively, lacks Pirlo's vision for through passes and favors more long balls. Even Dybala out of position can play better in this role than him, Bentacour is likely to surpass him, Draxler who could join for half the money had much more talent. That amount will set him as our starter, yet imo he is not ready yet for a team like Juventus and defintly not ready to offer what we lack in CL.
We were struggling to find an AMF for 5 years now, we had 50mil to spare and this is the best we can do?
After the CL final, this is as far as we can go, for our most influental player? Is this player the one who projects our ambitions? Really? If he is, that's just sad imo...

He is a slow player, that will impose a slow tempo and desperate long balls. He also seems to have a problematic character, unfit for such a leader role.
This could be the worst transfer of the last decade. We had bad transfers before, like Melo and Amauri, but they were 25mil ones.A 50mil flop will set a record as our biggest flop yet.
I understand that factors that skyrocketed his price tag. Viola consider themselves as sworn enemies, the little pank is young enough to give us a decade and a promise of improvement always overrated prices, more than actual value.
Also in the past 3 years we have seen an incredible inflation in transfer prices and the Italian federation still have a lot of nationalistic laws imposed, that force us to have more Italians than we need. The last year's Italian talents have been terrible, so the few decent ones have come to cost as WC foreign players.

I see this transfer as a tragic mistake, a mistake that we will regret, that's my opinion and I have the balls to express it. My intention is not to troll, I have arguments!

On the other hand, should he join us, I wish him all the best and I will be grateful to see us changing in a formation that uses an attacking midfielder, as this is what I have been craving for ever since we lost ZZ. This is a start, even if he fails and disgrace the legendary Juventus number 10, when the time comes to replace him, we will be wiser and hopefully get someone worthy!
Lorddddd :delpiero:
