No, but there is a mod for that ;)

I wish there were more and diverse repeatable quests
What happens if you fail them? It's ridiculous, you don't have time to do anything else because they are timed. What about the BoS quests? How many times do I need to do quartermastery?

not sure about the former, but the latter is endless.

I did wish they were more challenging. Sometimes i come in a huge battle between BoS and Super mutans. Sometimes its like "kill 3 raiders, a goul and a grandma"

I'm playing on survival and I hardly get any good legendary drops. I don't even have any of the best combat armor besides the chest piece. my best gun drop is an explosive combat shotgun but no good gauss rifles really. the gatling laser is pretty beastly though

I have a shit load of mods already too

Heavy Combat Armor :

Go to Quincy ruins. Save the game cause you'll get rekt hard up the rear. Kill stuff that moves, and WATCH THE FUCK OUT FOR THE CHURCH. Basically, some dude is wearing the armor you want, but he has a rocket launcher. So kill stuff while dodging rockets, then go up and murder that peasant.
I did this before lvl 20. Wich is hard, i'll admit. However, if you do it later, you got the sweet company of stealthed oneshot assaultron domminators.
Technically the institute/synth armor is better, but heavy combat armor is like the most rare in game i've seen, and looks awesome. It lacks one of the arms, but youll drop that later somewhere.

For the Gaus rifle, on the bottom left of the map, the permanently radiated zone, once you clear the normal enemy's, legendary radscorps, deathclaws etc will spawn frequently when revisiting. Take the Hazam suit and your shotgun and murder them. Having rifleman , crit banker, 4 clover, grim walker, kinda helps ALOT there, or watch your enviroment well and take it one at a time

Feel free to post the good mods. Havent tried any. I did use the console commands to increase settlement limits, cause else they are to small for my linking.

Enhanced Wasteland Reshade
PipBoyShadows (headlamps only)
Full Dialogue Interface (Brackets Without Numbers)
FPS dynamic shadows - Shadow Boost
Radiant Clouds and Fogs
darker nights (medium vanilla sky)
realistic lights (indoor only)
Disable Character Light
enboost
True Storms - Wasteland Edition (darker nights - dark)

those are probably the best ones
