Spent more time on rebuilding the Sanctuary than on quests so far. Super fun feature.

I found it interesting, cleaning all the mess in settlement like cars, trees, even the whole houses in some cases, which will get you large quantities of neccessary materials (steel, wood, rubber...). You can pick apart every piece of junk as well, e.g. phones have circuitry and then circuitry is one of materials required to build turrents as part of yours town's defenses. You need to provide water by building pumps, food by planting seeds found all across wasteland, enough beds, defenses, power, etc...

The settlements are cool but I haven't done much in them because there is no payoff
I tried to build a house but it didn't fit properly so I threw a grenade at it.

I read your answer, and purchased the game.

Here's the house I'm building which is obviously still a work in progress (Don't mind the video quality, first time uploading through Playstation, no idea how to do it in HD. NOOB!)

    Looks great :D

I'v only built a workshop so far, just for storing all the work benches, weapons, random items, power armour etc. Plan on building a house soon though.

You got four bobbleheads already damn!!

Has anyone gone about setting up the supply chains yet?

Thanks but I just dismantled the whole thing  I want something that has a workshop in it since you can't move the damn bench, otherwise I have to keep moving between my house and the one where the workshop is, not cool.

    Actually now I have 5 :D

Yeah, I've connected 3 of them. I wonder if you can have interchangeable workshops. It really sucks that sometimes all my junk is in one place and I need to build something somewhere else. Let's see if this works:

You have to send a caravan to connect your settlements in order to share your crafting items, food, and water. To do this click a settler, and click to assign them. Rather them, click. RB/R1 ( I use controller on PC) then click which settlement to send them to then press A to confirm. If you connect all settlements you can use all of your crafting materials and share food and water at all settlements. Keep in mind that it will still say 0 on food, but will be green indicating that the food requirement is met. Also note that you can connect one settler from each settlement to one other rather than all from one settlement.

other than that its like 3/4 of the game? :shifty:

and really exploring fringes of the map and picking up random quests in whack little towns or locations is what makes this game so good
I was beeing sarcastic towards Salvo ;)

I see sidequests as a key aspect to the game, namely for what you said there. And i consider the building and connecting of settlements to be some sort of side questy thing.

There are plenty of games wich have you looking for recources to build stuff. I've never gotten into such a game but i always wanted to. The fact that this is now in fallout, made me immediatly purchase it
