And sadly it's just 6mil...he'll be the next Romero or Dragusin
6mil? Wtf, sounds like Giuntoli is desperate to make cash after splashing and accepting any offer made. I expect a significant % release clause, otherwise we got shafted, and seriously need to bring in someone who knows how to negotiate just like union did.

I was hoping for 8ish mil, but to be realistic we signed Cabal for 13mil who is similar age and played in top level football...

No offense but have any of us even seen Facundo? He is just a random young defender we signed for 300k from Valencia youth team. And loaned out to Serie B and now weak Dutch league.

He has done nothing to be worth more then 6-7m. He is basically just another name in the pusvalenza trafficking ring. Nothing more nothing less. That remains so until we see him stand out.

Lol exactly. How much should we charge for random teenagers? Why would anybody even pay 6m for someone bought last year for 300k? Folks think every teenager who wear a Juve shirt is a young Barzagli.

Yup, and even more details of the deal, shows we don't believe he will start at Feyenoord (left footed CB role covered by Hancko), and not just mere option but forcing Feyenoord to buy him if he plays half the games.

20% future sale as only protection In case he stands out in coming years. Otherwise we eager to ensure they buy him for 6m.

Feyenoord will be forced to buy Facundo Gonzalez for €6m if he plays 50% of the games during this season. Juve also have 20% on future resale. (@GiovaAlbanese)

That doesn't sound too bad, it's not the 6m but the percentage sells on fee that counts more. That's important as it acknowledges our investment in him.

Facundo has a good season at samp, he's young and proven it at a serie B playoff challenger, got potential to play and start regularly for a serie A relegation battling team. I don't think 6m is far off, we got him for a bargain, and Valencia didn't want to lose him either.

Feyenoord is on a great streak though when it comes to scouting, over the years they seriously invested in some nice players.

Personally I would’ve liked to keep him, but that doesn’t necessarily has something to do with Facundo, but having a young player at his position in the team.

If someone is a young talent with a pulse, people will complain that they're sold. Homegrown/young developmental players at NextGen having a long term at Juve are the exception, not the rule.

I'd bet on players like Mbangula, Savona, Rouhi, Anghele, etc that are making their debuts early this season will be sold within the next 2-3 seasons than have a long term future here. These guys are money makers in the books and unless you have a special talent (like Yildiz), chances are you wont make it at Juve.

And even guys that probably are talented enough to make it at Juve, like Soule or Huijsen, will still be sold.

So I wouldnt get attached to any of these players.

That seems to be Giuntoli's strategy, use the next gen as a fundraising tool. Bit of a shame. I hope that more talents are kept.
I guess that's the point of Next Gen-- train em up and sell em. If the coaches believe they are something special give them game time and find out if they've got what it takes.

At the top the margins are really small. Starting for a true top club is something only the best of the best are cut out for, it's not going to be everybody.

If this fundraising tool can help retain our best players/sign better players, I'm all for it. Real Madrid do the same but because of their insane leverage, they put buyback options on their youth players. We don't have that kind of leverage right now.

The better ones will still end up being an integral part of the first team though so I don't see a problem here.

it's a necessity to an extent. we'd surely have kept soulé and huijsen if it wasn't for the effects of ticiconomics and covid

we are still keeping enough players around. against verona, mbamgula, savona, fagioli and yildiz were starters, anghelé and rouhi played as subs. i can't complain

keep telling that to yourself. price he agreed to pay for kalulu is more than he got for huijsen. same for the both wingers, their fee and wages are way more than soule's. they were out before the summer even started and it had nothing to do with finances but giuntoli's own decision.

football fans are sentimental by default, but turk is next level

turk hates giuntoli: turk ignores everything positive, the main narrative has to be repeated ad nauseam. so turk decides that giuntoli had no reason to sell soulé, he is just a mean person. or he surely got some commission from soulé's agent. easy. while he ignores that giuntoli got rid of allegri and rebuilt the whole squad by bringing young and affordable players instead of the old ones on high wages. but but but soulé, huijsen and especially fuggin iling

turk likes paratici. turk on paratici, the guy who destroyed the club's finances for the next 5-6 years at least, that went on record saying that transfer fees don't matter in a swap deal, they can write whatever they want to: he had the right ideas

next level of coping
