I'm glad that Tevez broke his European duck last night; but given the kind of sh1t Quag has pulled out of the bag for Juve in the past, it's criminal to think he was excluded from our Euro squad and Conte opted for HipsterOswald instead.. :sergio:

Mirko wasn't fit to play last night; he's unfit, coming back form injury, out of form... Even when those things aren't factors, he's still inherently inconsistent. Giovinco or Quag (where he listed) should have started last night...

I doubt I would even choose Quag over Osvaldo, and I find Osvaldo incredibly useless so far. He is 6th choice, far from needed in the rotation in EL.

He's been our best European striker in the Conte era, not saying that as a compliment to him because it's not hard but still... should've been taken, he actually shoots and shoots with power. Instead of looking for ridiculous 1-2's.

A mediocre, direct player makes a difference. Imagine if we had a top class one.

We were practically in the same position vs gala, a goal down late in the game, this guy comes in and what happens? He gets us a pk and scored 5min later, this is what we missed, our only guy who can score in Europe, absolute joke he's not In it

Ill have to agree with you on that. IN his case, stats do not lie.

But we decided to gamble with Osvaldo and leaving our europe man out. BAD MOVE.

People talking about Quag as if he is Suarez or some shit :howler:

He wasn't chosen for the EL squad; we were eliminated? Would he have made a difference? Possibly? We can't keep crying over this shit. Deal with it ffs!

Yup, leaving him out was a big mistake and it backfired. Our 5 'strikers' scored 3 goals in 8 games of EL.

Yes, his directness would've definitely helped, as would've his awareness of goal with the kind of defensive line Benfica were playing, deep in their half.

Fact is B, we didn't really replace Quag with a far better striker. Therefore we should've kept him in the squad knowing full well, that he had a knack to deliver in crunch situations, and he's done so on more than one occasion. Having him around in these situations wouldve added far more unpredictability than throwing in Gio or Osvaldo at the points that we did.
