Thanks brahski. But this was never about one player vs the other. They both deserved to remain, even though unfortunately neither of them would figure prominently in Conte's plans. Let's see how the situation develops with Llorente, coz I feel there's more likelihood of Tevez-Quag clicking than Tevez-Gio, incase Vucinic is benched or injured. Either way, let's wait and see what the player himself wants by close of window. If he does stay, then it's good for us coz we'll be well stacked in attack. I'm still sorry Matri left though. Should've been Gio.
Tevez-Vucinic
Giovinco-Llorente
Quag (Break glass in case of emergency when you need someone to score a goal from half)
I don't think it works like that really. These combinations and requirements off the bench vary according to the in match situations. If Quag stays, I expect him to be used quite a bit. Also I genuinely think he'd make a good pair with Tevez as he had done with Il Maestro.
“Matri? We’ve always said six strikers were too many, there is the Milan opportunity and we will evaluate it. The matter has already progressed quite far. If Matri leaves, then Fabio Quagliarella will remain.”
Remember he had said less than a month ago that 2 strikers would leave coz we want to give our youth a chance as the fifth forward? Although, I have to say I suspect we are keeping a bit of muscle on the fifth striker coz of the Llorente situation. That might also be a wise thing to do and that's where the strategy may have changed.

Considering the offers for Quag were only 7-8m I doubt we would sell for that only to replace him with some cack forvet like denis
I think Juve refused more offers for Quag than he did for himself. To the best of my knowledge they rejected Norwich before the player did. And while he accepted West Ham, they rejected the loan proposal.
