Matri was pretty good for us until he got benched for Borriello, his performance has been not upto the same level after that.
Even though he's more of a natural CF than Quag, last season you could see how Quag was much more effective than him in putting the ball in the net.
I honestly hope that we sign a 3rd good forward in this mercato. Tevez, Llorente, Vucinic and a new striker for all the competitions will be good.

Yeah overall Matri was better, but his best came till the first half of 11-12 season. The past season and second half of 11-12, it's been pretty mediocre.

Look, I appreciate what he does as an SS, he has very good technique and flair. But let's not pretend he's a goalscorer. He's scored less goals than Matri AND Quag, and he's had many more chances.

a player that can possibly play in all positions in a forward line. So glad we have someone like that.
I still don't understand this, we're supposed to keep a worse player on the premise that Llorente gets injured and Matri will be a better 'backup'. Meanwhile Quag would still score more in the same situation. Still sounds very Arseanal fan like to me.
Matri has been the better of the 2 for the past two seasons. Even the Quag supporter @Tommy just agreed to that, a bit further up.
Well I disagree, in 10-11 in their half seasons, we were 2nd at one point with Quag and he played a bigger role in the team compared to Matri. 11-12 Is kind of unfair because Quag was coming back from ACL, but still Matri sucked after he got replaced by Borrifuck. 12-13 is obviously the most fair comparison and Quag clearly was better.

How is not the most fair??????? Being objective it clearly is the most fair comparison, they were both fit most of the time and one isn't coming off an ACL and they played a similar amount of minutes - 242m more to Matri.
