So constructive. As always. :)

Not to mention Eta Beta came within a shave of winning the game for us with that curling efforts a couple of minutes from the end... He's a quality impact player, a decent starter, but very good off the bench. Proved it in the World Cup 2010, proved it in the CL... Can't believe he's being bagged this much, no bloody appreciation!
And yet, his goal averages seem to suggest he scores even more when he starts. Just the kind of player any team would love to have. That one impact player, the joker in the pack. It's really sad to see the disrespect and lack of appreciation he gets around here.

Snitch, dont be a bitch.

He's heading down the Iaquinta path. Stays around as 5th striker instead of leaving to collect that paycheck that he'll never get again. Nobody seems interested today and 2 more years of this salary and then he'll 32/33 and his value will be next to nothing.

And who can blame him?

If he is kept it'll pretty much be based on not being able to get as much for him, mixed with his CL goals. I said at the time and before but he is more useful in Europe as defenders don't get so tight, and are normally leaving more spaces than our domestic opponents. His style takes advantage of that.

:chin:

In terms of Serie A his record is not impressive at all. 5/9 of his goals came in two games, and only one against a 'big' team (Inter :seven:). 2/4 of his assists came against Pescara, who had the weakest Italian defence since Operation Husky.

1159 minutes
129 minutes per goal
9 goals (Chievo 2, Pescara 3, Bologna, Genoa, Inter, Sampdoria)
4 assists (Pescara 2, Inter, Torino)

In short if he were to leave it would have minimal impact on us in terms of our Serie A campaign.
