Why do I get the feeling that everyone would be overjoyed with Llorente being the only arrival, had he cost 20m+ euros?

I could be wrong, but ... I just get the feeling that a lot of members, once it was clear that Llorente would arrive on a free bosman, became a bit: meh...
probably because a lot of members understand the importance of financial stability of the club as a root of it further development.
Unless we get someone like Suarez I wouldn't mind Llorente as our only arrival! There is no reason to spend another 18.5 million for another Matri!

Llorente is good, but our attack needs more than just a minor upgrade. Llorente can be the target man, but we also need a quality SS, as none of our strikers are WC or consistent enough.

If Madrid bring in Cavani, one of Benz and Higuain will probably leave. With other teams busy fighting over Falcao, Suarez, JoJo, Neymar, and the like, we can sneak in and grab him before anyone else has a chance.

Obviously, Chelsea and City could butt in and fuck things up, but we do stand a fair chance if we act swiftly.

"I think that Juventus are ultra-convinced of keeping him”

He thinks they are ultra-convinced? What the hell..

And he should be sold, he is our oldest striker, we've already signed a CF in his position and there is some actual interest in him. I think keeping him around is just bad business and will end up being one of those players we'll have a hard time getting rid of when he's over 32 and he gets way too much bench time. Sometimes we just never seem to know when to let our players go and instead end up getting stuck with them or having to loan them out and pay for their salaries while not even using them.
That made absolutely no sense bro.

Classic.

do you really not see the difference in quag and amauri?
Sometimes bias blinds the best of em. And as fond as I am of Suns, I don't think we would ever agree on this, except when he comes here to occasionally praise the hardworking player.

This all points to Llorente being the only attacker coming in this summer.

Llorente - new
Giovinco - just bought
Vucinic - Conte loves
Matri - decent form
Quag - decent form
Anelka - hit/miss
Bendtner - bye

Llorente, Vucinic, Giovinco, Matri, Quagliarella (Anelka)
I wouldn't rule out a surprise come the end of season. I do think we are seriously considering a striker of the like of Sanchez/JoJo, maybe to some extent keeping in mind the commercial aspect of the game, knowing a striker needs to come in to sell merchandise since we don't really have a high profile forward.

The type of players Sanchez and Jojo are, I can see them coming in as a replacement for Gio to some extent. Maybe even include him in a swap for the latter. Him and Marrone?!

What I'm saying is that the first 5 don't look like they will be leaving, so I can't see us paying big for a 6th striker. I know they won't be 6th choice, but 6 strikers is too many considering we play 3-5-2. You'd essentially be relegating one of those 5 to the role that Anelka/Bendtner have now.

I'm saying the same thing, except the 5 is likely to include a more high profile player like Sanchez, and will in all likelihood replace a current starter like Gio, to negate the cost implications of such a deal while maintaining the balance we have now.

Llorente, Sanchez, Vucinic, Quag, Matri.

I can if it means we want Jojo and won't have to pay much for him if Gio is part of the deal. I think Vucinic or Gio could be considered as dispensable if we look at a high profile signing. Again, things will be a little clearer seeing how the season ends up in Europe. If we win the CL, I'm pretty sure, we'll go with a Suarez level signing.

Damn, Baggio was really trying to tell Suns and me not to be biased when arguing about our favorite players. The fucking nerve.

And selling Giovinco before Quag would be stupid, and that's coming from someone who doesn't rate Giovinco much.

Not really, Gio would be easier to sell and would bring in more income than selling Quag.
