How did they differentiate between Quag and Gio? In their reactions?

They said that Giovinco just runs back and tries again, whilst Quagliarella does a lot of posturing; hands on hips, remonstrating, sulking.

It was Dave Farrar in particular who mentioned it as soon as Quag came on, from games he has seen. Considering he's a neutral who watches a lot of football I thought it was interesting he highlighted it.

i hate the fact that our strikers give up easily on winning physical duels. iaq and amauri were like that too, and quag, matrim, and vucinic do that too often.

it's quite sad that giovinco who is the smallest and lightest of the forwards, is the most agressive and the one who tries most to win his duels.

but since zlatant we haven't had a fowards that dominated physcial duels well

forwards are generally not as high or big as defenders, so thats just the way it is. zlatan is more of an exeption. i want our forwards to score goals with technique, flair and movement, and not a big strong and slow man, winning physical duels. bendtner is big and strong, didnt help much

I have started to dislike Quags a bit. Not because of his reaction to Alessio, but because he has become a "whateva" player. Its like he has lost the will to play this game at all. His facial expressions are always like "Damn! I dont feel like playing today. That ball is too far, i dont want to chase it." , " I fucked up a chance. Oh well. Did i buy milk today?"

True. Would've been interesting to see how much would've changed for him once Astori was sent off. Was off the pace of the game today and the long balls didn't help at all. I always prefer to see Quag play alongside Vucinic. He had his moments, but they were few and far between. Rightfully subbed off.

I think for Gio, it seems like an all to conscious effort knowing his lightweight, undersized frame, which tends to make him more tenacious. In fact it's true of most if not all pint sized players.

Good point about our forwards. I've noticed the same thing, and its getting a bit more apparent as the season wears on.

Amauri was a strong motherfucker, in his first season he imo did very well in that aspect.
