I am someone who has respect for Quag and always defended him and even at times asked to start in Dp's favor. But his attitude is seriously making me think that he has a negative impact on this team. I understand someone's hunger to score but to whine and scream for EVERY SINGLE ball shoot taken by his team mates when they're in good position is ridiculous. It becomes annoying really and you force your team-mates to pass the ball to you next time even when you're marked or not in a good position. Whoever played or plays football knows what I am talking about.
Not to mention his couple of times reaction when being subs. I mean if Del Piero who was the captain of the team, and the team's best player of all time and team's top scorer would never do such a thing when being sub'd even at HT or min 50, why would Quag do such a thing? I would understand someone like Totti, Del Piero or Maldini, it's not easy being subs so early when you're the greatest legend of your team but Quag is not even a super star of the team TBH. I like the Quag two years ago and last year more.

Quag or for that matter, no player can have a negative impact on the way this team is built. What you're terming ridiculous refers to a one off game. He doesn't have a history that makes him a troublesome dressing room player. If that was the case, the fans wouldn't like him as much as they do. If you think Quag is bad, have you seen Vucinic and Licht?! No, I assume, theyre beasts and love the team when they tell off their teamates about something. We should use the same measure for everybody. Right now at least, there is nothing to suggest him to be annoying or negative, except the instance against inter and this last game, which coincidentally, are interlinked, with the inter game being his last one before last nights game. On his return, he wanted to score badly because he knows he's going through a good run of form and desperately wants to win the Coach's favour after his fuck up against inter, for which he has apologised.
I play footie, and I know you do too, and we can both agree, there are many instances in a game where the adrenaline rush gets the better of you and reactions can get impulsive. If you isolate both instances you'll see, that they would get the better off many players in this team. Are you trying to say Vucinic has always accepted being subbed happily? Do you remember our very own legendary Trez on a couple of occasions? Have you seen Licht fighting on the pitch? These are players who have a lot of heart, and passion and ambition. but above all of that, they have belief in their abilities.
I would agree with you that its annoying as fuck when a player keeps asking for the ball, but I think Quag for his part was bringing his teammates into play with a fair amount of distribution and good movement to play off. And more importantly, being the top scoring forward in the team, you could say he's justified some what in asking for the ball. I think its pretty unfortunate that he has faced criticism at every point since his injury. Last year people said he was a shit player who offered nothing despite hardly even playing coming off the injury. This year, he played little despite deserving to play more, and made his minutes count more than any other forward, maybe just maybe it frustrated him a bit and it manifested itself on the pitch. He's a human being, and a majority of us would react like that at some point in the season because let's face it, he has been more deserving than Giovinco and still not gotten enough playing time. We are blowing this out of proportion quite honestly. Gotta let it pass.

What are you talking about dude?? He didn't play after Milan until now. And yeah, we have a player who looks pissed when he is subbed. He covers his mouth and says something to a staff member. Two weeks later he does the same thing and is fined 80k and dropped from the squad. Educated guess about what he said the first time - "hey man, would you call my wife and tell her to buy some pretzels."
I already acknowledged the Milan game in the essay post. That game and last nights game were linked in a way. Because he was making his comeback yesterday after being dropped. That's why his depseration to score and win the Coach's faith again after fucking up against Milan. You must understand the player's situation at the club. He came off a horrible injury, and a long time on the bench for a majority of last season, but he continues to have faith in his ability and there is nothing wrong with that.

I don't mind seeing Quaglia back on the pitch because we need him and I like him as a player. But you keep saying he has no attitude, only one time. Except it wasn't, it was several times. We don't know exactly what he said, so I am not saying we should drop him forever or sell him. But if we let a player publicly disrespect staff members and act like its ok then we'll end up like Man City. I mean just look at the video I posted and check Caceres' reaction when Quaglia starts talking.

The ESPN commentators (including the likeable Richard Hughes) kept talking about the difference between Quag and Giovinco when they miss chances.
Players being annoyed at missing chances or being subbed is absolutely fine, maybe even preferable for a striker. But clearly it has to stop there and cannot come back onto the coach.

My bad. I meant Meelan. In theory, I agree with what you're saying about a player showing disrespect or lack of discipline, but right now at least, I don't believe Quag qualifies under the circumstances. If what happens against Meelan, happens on a regular basis, then I'd question his attitude. But for now, you must consider his situation at the club and what he's been through to figure his reactions. Its just frustration manifesting itself on the playing field. He'll be a lot less of a 'negative/arrogant' or whatever player people label him to be when he's more settled in. Again I'm saying, replace Quag with Vucinic or Licht and you'll see, it could happen to anyone because it's not premeditated.
