Well done. I'm pleased for him. He almost scored a 2'nd with that wicked shot; such a shame it hit the bar. He was lively, productive, and dangerous. However, I still have serious doubts about him, and one positive performance doesn't alter/change that.

It's a shame he can't play PL defences every week.

I'd like to see him start as well, lets see if he has a consistent run of games for once.
He's not had a consistent run of games since his injury to be honest. Give him 3-4 starts no matter how good or bad he plays. It'll do wonders for his match rhythmn and confidence. Because he can be a very handy contributor. He said it himself post game, that he knows how important match time is to find some rhythmn. I dunno how many here will agree, but I think with his skill set and a slew of interest from other clubs, he still chose to stay here and fight for his place knowing full well that the demands of a club like Juve could mean fighting your way up the pecking order on a daily basis. In the process jeopardising a future with the Nazionale too. Shows his commitment as a footballer, and I got a lot of respect for that.

it's a shame he cant play a football game every week. End of. This guy only deserves some match time. Unfortunately a lot of people here wanting him to start over the weekend will knock on him after the next lower performance, but the truth of the matter is, his skill set, should not be written off the way it has been recently. He only deserves a fair shot. And he certainly didn't get that last year and thanks to our schedule this year, I can see him getting some more opportunities. We just need to be a little patient with guys like him and Matri. Their issues are more psychological than anything else.

End of your discussion perhaps, but you earn the right to play regularly. If he was playing and training well enough he would be starting more. No offense, but I trust the coaches more.

Anyone can see that Quagliarella's performances have been below par for some time, he just doesn't look right. Of course it's not easy to come on in games and change them, but he did do that last night. One reason for that was the acres of space afforded to him to make runs and position himself into, hence my comment.

Quagliarella still has it all to prove that he deserves a starting shirt here, no two ways about it. Psychological problems are often the most difficult to overcome, but I hope he can do it. His goals per minutes post-injury figures are back towards the 1 in 3 games ratio that he has had for basically his whole career. So as much as I'd like to think he can get back to the 1 in 2 form he had in the first half of the 2010-11 season, the stats point towards that being an abnormal figure for him. The reason why I am highlighting the importance of this is that to start in this team Quagliarella has to be a 12-15 goal forward.

Quagliarella to face Chievo?
By Football Italia staff

Fabio Quagliarella may have earned himself a starting place in the Juventus side this weekend with his goal at Chelsea.

The forward came off the bench at Stamford Bridge to net the equaliser, before shaving the bar with a late effort in the 2-2 draw.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the former Napoli player is now in pole position for a place in the first XI against Chievo on Saturday.

Quagliarella has been given just 17 minutes in Serie A so far this season as a substitute in the 4-1 win at Udinese.

Quagliarella, it is being claimed, could replace Sebastian Giovinco and partner Mirko Vucinic against the Flying Donkeys.

Boss Antonio Conte could also rest Stephan Lichtsteiner and Andrea Pirlo ahead of Tuesday’s trip to Fiorentina.

:weee: Sounds good.
