The long run has been quite short in Quag's cash tbh.
Last year was long enough. People can be so sentimental sometimes. He's a cool dude and had a great half season for us but you gotta know when to cut your losses. Especially with someone like Quagliarella who never was a big player or a club icon.

Reviving from a career threatening injury is never easy. Do you remember Alex when he first came back from his ACL? He couldn't score from open play, every goal that season was a penalty. And he was a regular in that team. Thats how long it took the mighty Alex. Considering Quag has almost never got regular game time since the injury you have to realise finding that rhythmn is not the easiest thing to do. Assuming we will be in three competitions this season, he is bound to get fuller game time to go with those sub appearances and its going to make a big difference to his performances.

We'll see but Quag was never close to the player DP was. He was always just an alright player who scored a handful of goals a season, I don't expect him to go above that.

Never said he was, but from an athlete's perspective, the psychology is the same. 12-13 goals at smaller teams. He could beat that tally with Juventus. But not if he's getting 10-15 mins every two gsmes. Anyway, point is, the mercato is now closed, lets support him till we can speculate any further coz he's better than you people make him out to be.

I think quags will have to wait for coppa and CL games to kick in, because the only time i see him playing is for those games when Vuci and Gio will be wasted from CL duty.

He'll get his chances in copa games against the minnows. And some cameo 5 to 15 minutes in seri A, no matter who the opponent is.
Dont see him get any minutes in CL.

When Quag came on against Udinese, the game has already been over. It's hard to impress when you mates have already changed down. Nevertheless he broke through one and could almost score. I believe we will eventually benefit of the growing competition among our forwards. Our attackers are not as weak as you many might think.

No, they are right. In their infinite wisdom a player that has a poor/average 15 minute showing as a sub when up 4-0 2 games in should definitely be sold.

Talks about the last game are BS tbh, its his preseason form thats like shit, dont care about his last game, thats just to ensure Vuci and Gio come out of the game fit.

Now watch some preseason matches that included quagliarella if you didnt yet. Even Gio didnt have the best forms at preseason, but at least he didnt sucks that bad.

What preseason form are you talking about? That one game against Hertha Berlin where he played 60 minutes or the Tim Cup which weren't even 90 minute games or the Benfica 15 minute appearance? Friggin ridiculous man. Get a grip.

All of them, but the one vs Hertha is the worst.
Well not as ridiculous as defending an out of form player while also believing him will suddenly do great in Jan.
