Chances are low indeed but looking at the names Prandellii is going to take such as Balotelli, Pazzini, Osvaldo and maybe Di Natale makes me vomit.

For sure Rabbijaan. But I think Quag is better than Pazzini and would offer more than the likes of DiNatale who is too injury prone and old to be at the tournament. I rather have Ale or Totti who are fitter and more talented.

I remember those last ten minutes like they were yesterday. Seriously. Sitting in some shitty hawker center in a dilapidated town in Malaysia on an awful humid night watching the game surrounded by scum cheering against Italy (being the lone Italian, of course). I became a die-hard fan of the guy then. His performance encapsulated exactly what it means to have heart and be a leader on the pitch - spurring your team, lifting them, doing everything in your power to succeed. I had always been a mild fan of the guy, due to his youtube antics, surely, but it was only then that I came to admire him as a player.

Di Natale deserves more than any other Italian striker to at least be called for the EC.
With 53 goals and 12 assists in 71 matches (less than two seasons) he's the Italian striker who showed the most after the bad episode at the world cup. At least making the 23 men squad is what must happen.

I can't remember Lippi successfully playing him in his Udinese role, usually placed him out wide. Big risk for Prandelli with both of his forwards coming back now.

Couldn't have said it better myself. The fact that he pulled off a goal like that in the 92nd minute also kind of showed thenfaith he has in his ability, and lets not forget how he had a goal disallowed for offside before that. Was a monster effort when the chips were down, a true example of grinta. Even at Juventus, I have loved his attitude of keeping his head down and playing, being humble and not complaining for lack of playing time even if at times he deserved it more then those starting ahead of him. I really like seeing that in players because it's a rare quality.

That's correct. What a bummer losing to Slovakia off all teams. Italy actually played some of the bestnfootball in that tournament, in the last 8 or 9 minutes of that match.

Cassano Quag as a combo would be as good as any for flair and movement. Though personally it's fcuked Quag may not feature at the Euros, it's an absolute bummer that guys like Pazzini, Osvaldo would be considered ahead of him. Though that could change if Conte decides to give him some playing time in the final few games of the season, featuring from the start. I still can't decide if this Palermo game is a one off, after which he will switch back to Borriello.

For the Euros: Cassano, Rossi (if fit), Balotelli, Quagliarella, DiNatale. That would be a balanced attack.

is Italy's strongest attack force. However, Quag should definitely be called up IMO. Too bad he hasn't gotten much playing time in order to do so.

me dad's from Ipoh. There's a pretty strong anti Italy/Serie A sentiment in Malaysia, only reduced up til recent years.

Because they're all EPL fanatics here and claim Serie A is the most boring league in the world, which up to recent years, I see their point - there was less coverage and the sound of the crowd in televised matches were close to non existent to what it was now.
