GdS suggesting he will get renewal till 2015.
:wallbang:

When will we learn not to give long contracts to +28 year olds? We already got burned with Iaquinta, Amauri, Grygera and Brazzo. We had Quag on contract until 2014. What's the point of giving him one more year now in early 2012?

Then the devil will be guilty when we'll have high earners on the stands, restricting us from buying top players who want high wages.

Long? Lol, a 3 year contract isn't long. Didn't Vucinic sign a 3 year contract himself being 28? Hes earning a million more. And Quag is better than all the players you mention, that burnt us.

There is really no viable reason whatsoever to extend his contract right now (unless we're planning/expecting to sell him).

:agree:
Marotta doing the same thing Secco has done. Padoin, Matri, Bonucci all getting 5 year deals, should have been 3 + option to extend.

We already have Quag secured until June 2014. If by January 2014 we think that he still has something to give and will be of value, then by all means offer him another year.
It's not gonna be any better if we now give Vucinic (you mentioned him), who is also ours until 2014, one more year. Why would we do that?
Some of the older players Milan had back in the days were much better than Quag or Vucinic. When Milan won the CL in 2007 they offered new contracts, even improved ones, to almost all their +30 year olds and then they got stuck with them and their wages, which resulted with 2-3 really bad transfer mercatos.

I actually don't understand the reasoning behind these extensions. Is it like a performance incentive or a way to drive the price of a player a little higher when he has more years left in his contract?! Or maybe even a deterrent for other clubs?? I don't know the reasoning, because if I remember correctly, Zizou had signed a new 5 year contract the same season he was sold. Could be wrong about this.

Hells ya!! Although I'd prefer the team playing a 433 even if the 352 might suit him and Vhcinic playing together. Have they played together from the start yet? Bsides the game he got injured in.

He'd do really well with the national team I feel. But chances are going to be hard to come by. Can never forget his goal against Slovenia in the WC. :tuttosport:

That was one sick goal.

Chances are low indeed but looking at the names Prandellii is going to take such as Balotelli, Pazzini, Osvaldo and maybe Di Natale makes me vomit.

I remember watching italy and lithuania live, when he got two goals, of course they were both worthy of youtube.

And Del Piero played in that match too :sheik: would have scored too if not for our awful pitch condition, he slipped :D
