I would like to see him more as a CF, closest to the goal. He's a fighter but he's not doing well as a SS. He's not creative at all and he always goes for a shot. His assist rate is pathetic and he's far from prolific, but between SS and CF I'd play him in the most advanced position.
Both goals he scored this season were when he was a lone striker in a 4-3-3 (or whatever it was yesterday after Licht came for Borri and Mirko for De Ceglie) while last year more than half of his goals were when he was paired with Del Piero.

I wish Conte drops the 3-5-2 at least against Milan and tries a 4-3-3 with Vucinic Quag and Pepe.

I disagree. He comes up with really good through balls when people are making runs around him. Just doesn't function in the 3-5-2.

Agree on the point that he should be prima punta, disagree with the point that he is poor as SS.
If SS goes for support striker, then yes, he IS poor-ish as a player who should support the prima punta. Despite his pretty good movement Quag mostly tries to find space for himself rather than creating it for the partner (something which Del Piero or Vucinic for example don't do). As for assisting with a pass, the numbers speak for themselves. It's not like he's not doing the "supporting" at all, but he's not doing it at a desirable level. Imo he's a player who'd do much better with DP or Vucinic behind him than with Borri or Matri in front of him.
