Against Merda i would love to see Kwaks and Mirko in attack (assuming that we will play 352). Both can create oppurtunities for themselves, unlike Matri, whom i think doesn't really fit in this formation. With the 352 the strikers are more involved in the build up play compared to the 433, and holding the ball and position isn't Matri strongest point.

If SS goes for support striker, then yes, he IS poor-ish as a player who should support the prima punta. Despite his pretty good movement Quag mostly tries to find space for himself rather than creating it for the partner (something which Del Piero or Vucinic for example don't do). As for assisting with a pass, the numbers speak for themselves. It's not like he's not doing the "supporting" at all, but he's not doing it at a desirable level. Imo he's a player who'd do much better with DP or Vucinic behind him than with Borri or Matri in front of him.

Which is what's amazing about him.
